Glory were missing Castro and Ikonimidis and still scored five goals. Tighten up the defence when Langkamp and Ota come in and Glory look scary.

Yes, Castro has skills, but , honestly, I didn´t accept well his refusal in joining the hub for last yar finals. I think I player has one compromise with the club and another with the supporters and his financial issues with the club should not drive him to let the supporters down. Santos is a brazilian team living a political and financial hell ~ the clubs president has been impeached for corruption the club is broken with player not receiving their salaries for months. Soteldo had the chance to transfer to Arabia to receive millions at due date and refused, Two others player accept transfer to Portugal and Japan with the condition to remain playing for Santos till the end of Libertadores (South american champion). Against the odds, the are going to play the grand final. The financial prize of US 15 million for the campion or US$ 6 million for the runner up will help to play their overdue salaries and they will be remembered by those who love football as heroes. Maybe, the lack of this kind of passion is that is holding our football.

Well I did not see that coming. But I’ll gladly take it as a Glory fan bracing for a wooden spoon. Out attack looks fantastic and I reckon we can cause some real headaches for opposition defences. And we kinda have to flood the goals, cause our defence looks, well, not that great. Yet again, we concede late goals, though luckily it didn't matter this time. I think Glory could be breaking some goalscoring records, due to a combination of a lethal attack and the fact that we might have to cover for a leaky defence. We might be okay this year, and I hope so cause I still haven't recovered from that Grand Final two years ago.

 You are in good form tonight. I have watched football for more decades than I care to remember and I’ve yet to see a team play it’s first game (in a competitive league) and say “they’ll win the title this season! Let’s see what happens when the teams back up over the course of this weekend in these slightly absurd times!

No complaints, I watch training and he does all the right things a coach should (especially with younger players) he can be very volatile though which is far enough when instructions aren’t being followed. First loss as a coach in the a league, plays a good brand of football. 5 individual mistakes led to 5 goals tonight, rare off day. I think there’ll be a hair dryer after the match and I’m expecting a brutal training session when we get back. I also have a sneaky feeling that he was more concerned with the victory game on saturday then this one, basing that on his unusual demeanour on the touchline. Only issue I have with veart is playing d’arrigo slightly higher then last season to accommodate calleti, (who shouldn’t be starting) I’m a gracious loser though and Kudos to Perth, we gifted 5 chances and all 5 were taken. I wouldn’t read too much into this match though, like I said the whole team was off. This still doesn’t change our title aspirations, We scored 3 goals In Perth while not even turning up and still walked away as losers, football can be a cruel game sometimes lol

 we’ll certainly if they play like that every game but doubtless things will be different when they are back in Cooper’s territory.

Castro might slow them down a bit although you can’t help but admire his ball skills and overall control ...and composure too.

Perth looks good without Castro. And Ikonomidis will be back soon. I wouldn´t mind if Castro gets missing in outback again.

Reminds me a bit of Archie’s grand final except Perth are sharing the spoils around. That last goal was dire in terms of defensive cover. There were 2 forwards for Keogh to pass to both unmarked. Something strange must have happened crossing the border into Perth. I guess the rest of the country just isn’t used to it right now.

Embarrassing performance, not a single player at the races tonight. Perth are basically playing against 11 training cones
