AFL releases 2020 pre-season fixtures

By The Roar / Editor

The AFL has released fixtures for a re-branded 2020 pre-season competition, now named the Marsh Community Series.

The pre-season series will see every team play two fixtures over the course of three weeks, with all eighteen teams playing in the final week.

St Kilda and Hawthorn will kick off the series with a match at Moorabbin where the Saints will hope to unveil new star recruits like Brad Hill, Zak Jones, Paddy Ryder and Dougal Howard.

That fixture is on Thursday 20 February, with a match between the Western Bulldogs and North Melbourne on the Friday after.

West Coast will have to wait till Friday night of the second round, 28 February, for the chance to unveil Tim Kelly, against Essendon.

The AFL will release the fixtures for the 2020 AFLW season tomorrow on Tuesday, and the AFL season on Thursday.

Who cares? I am only interested in the real season. After only 13 MCG Home and Away games this year hopefully Richmond get at least 16 next year.

At least the Perth teams don't travel. They should that for all the interstate sides. One derby, one home game.

our game vs carlton should actually be a good one. both sides will want to win that, even if it is just pre-season props for not having to play the suns.
