WA to allow crowds of 30,000 from Saturday

By Justin Chadwick / Wire

The AFL has been handed a juicy carrot to create a hub in Perth after the Western Australian state government announced that crowds of up to 30,000 will be able to attend games from this Saturday.

And in an added incentive, the WA government plans to allow full-capacity crowds from July 18, meaning up to 60,000 fans could attend games at Optus Stadium.

WA’s hard border closure has created huge problems for the AFL, who have been intent on finding a way around the state’s required 14-day quarantine period for incoming visitors.

State premier Mark McGowan has previously floated the idea of Victorian teams being able to play each other while serving their 14-day quarantine period in WA.

But the recent spike in coronavirus cases in Victoria means Western Australia may now backflip on that idea.

The state’s two AFL sides, the Eagles and Dockers, are currently in a hub on the Gold Coast, with both clubs keen to head back home after playing their scheduled four games in Queensland.

Big deal ? my wife worked for 45 years it is common . I have had operations as well but recovered and got back to work it is not hard if you put your mind to it. Key boarding does not help recovery.

You did say you were going to work on the mines don’t tell fibs ! Go back to where I told you where my nephew works and there were vacancies right next to where you live. Sadly your injury may have affected your memory but I am not engaging anymore with your finances and porky pies.

I do not think like you, i have sympathy for the hundreds of thousands which is going to rise well beyond a million people that are denied to return to there jobs because the state premiers are playing politics. Sadly you cannot see that. Your happy sitting home playing. WA has the highest rate of unemployment in the country thanks to Mickey McGowan.

I never said I was getting a job on the mines, been open with fact I was injured on site a few years ago that's required surgery, but I do ha have a wife and she's highly experienced in that industry, might shock but women do work and have done so for many decades. Not to bright and a misogynist outdoing yourself telling me my life. Sorry you're annoyed I invested my money and live a frugal life so I can provide for my family longterm. Another tip is instead of buying the big house in the grand suburb by a cheap house and two investment properties for the same price in high rental areas and always treat your tenants correctly and give them reason to stay.

So you don't have enough money that's ok Australia has an excellent safety net system, ppl do lose money but common denominator usually is poor investment in to good to be true schemes. Your not bright and again no shame in that, proof is your harping about opening borders, your amazing lack of knowledge and just generally the way you claim victimhood to ppl and life so easily (no pride?) Anyways I have little more to say but will continue for my own amusement.....I'm having an omelette whilst what for a tradesman. There's a free tip buy products with replaceable parts over computer chips as repair work is usually a quarter of the cost;)

I don’t have any interest in anyone’s financial situation. After your continual personal attacks, snide insults I suggested you should go out and get a job. You fired back with childish name calling tactics again.

Where did I say you were rorting job keeper ? You are not entitled to it ! You told us on a number of occasions you have no job. You are a stay home dad. Your obviously not on a invalid pension because you said you left the city to get a job in the mines.

No I do not have a financial adviser. I know many people who have lost a lot of money dealing with them. Even your constant attacks telling me how bright I am I am smart enough to handle my own finances.

Yes, Micko. But as I pointed out in another post, Vic teams have played 4-5 other Vic teams & 3 have played either Eagles or Freo. So we need a computer to calculate the Vic teams that can actually do this. I estimate 2 or 3, which will keep AFL going just for another 3 weeks.

You don't have a financial advisor, I thoroughly recommend you got one. Diversified my savings with mine a long time ago and when I received payment for my injury he became even more important. I never brought up my financial till you said I was rorting jobkeeper etc so ggf plus my wife works at tallisons if you knew anything about it you'd have known the name. Saying one is independent of the govt isnt big noting but eng the aged pension JB cause it's paying for your keyboard time

Apparently two Vic teams can play each other in that period according to Mark McGowan.

only info i found re active cases puts vic at 58% (131 of 225) but nsw arent counting cases not recovered after 6 weeks (go figure?), your statement said all cases, not active, & thus i interpreted it in the manner i did, call it an accusation if u like. u do like to jump to conclusions, no idea how u come to your conclusion about what i intend to say next

I could big note myself on the keyboard like yourself, but who would believe me. Your been caught out with porky pies so many times. Just recently you were leaving the city to work in the mines. Remember where I said where you could get one.? All this financial adviser and redesigning your income talk is all a bit of a dream in my opinion. Even if it is true what are you trying to achieve to tell every one on a footy site. Your WA footy history is superb, stick to that. No one is interested how rich you might be.

Go to the ABC site and you'll see Vic has 83% of active cases in Australia at this point you're quoting numbers that includes cases that are over, cured, vamoosed. Before accusing do some simple and basic research, next you'll say the rest of Australia want Victorians as visitors ATM cause community spread is the new Macarena.
