NRL Round 11 teams: Suspension chaos causes mass changes, Milford dumped again

By The Roar / Editor

The NRL Round 11 teams have been revealed, with the NRL’s crackdown on high contact wreaking havoc at selection.

A total of ten players were handed 25 weeks’ worth of suspensions from the weekend, meaning several clubs had to organise shuffles in their forward packs for this round’s action.

Nobody has been hit harder than the Dragons, who have lost Josh McGuire, Tyrell Fuimaono (both five weeks), Mikaele Ravalawa (two weeks) and Tariq Sims (one) to suspension – as well as Matt Dufty with a shoulder complaint.

Cody Ramsey will get the starting fullback gig, while Jordan Pereira and Max Feagai will line up on the wings. Billy Burns takes Fuimaono’s place in the centres, while Jackson Ford and Poasa Faamausili join the forwards.

Elsewhere, Kevin Walters has once again lost patience with Anthony Milford, dumping the five-eighth from the Broncos squad altogether and handing the keys to Albert Kelly.

Highest placed team they have beaten are the Warriors so wouldn’t be fooled by either. Cowboys are only 9th, ... 10th if Titans beat Bulldogs.

Shouldn’t need to copy and paste from someone else’s calculator when it’s just a matter of moving the decimal place. Wouldn’t be fooled by either. Neither Cowboys or Many have beaten anyone bar the Warriors. Only a day later, and Cowboys aren’t top 8. Saw that a mile off.

It's not my memory , it was taken from an article. Plenty of teams are still in the race , you might like to remind yourself about the talk around the Cows and Manly after 4 rounds. By round 11 they are both in the 8. No doubt you saw that coming?

FortyTwenty, your memory of that one not so crash, and also got the averages and years mixed up, but hey, pretty good stat. Although looks like Roosters didn’t play a top8 team in that 10game run, and Panthers have a win over the Storm. Looks like Dragons were only 4 from 10 and made the Grand Final, so wow! based on that means Knights, Warriors, and Titans are still in the race.

You got your wish Rob. Mann to the centres. Unfortunately at the expense of injured Best. Without Ponga or Best i can see two parts of no points being scored. Green back in. He has been awful so who knows what is going to happen there. Good to see Crossland still in the halves, i think they need to keep him in there no matter what - young and physical and can kick. Lets roll the dice tonight and see what comes up.

He will have to because Gamble is nothing special in that area

But he made a a few good try savers so the effort is there. Milf never did that.

Kelly has been doing most of the short kicking at least at Souths. I think he might take on all the kicking this round.

Never say never. There is not much organization or kicking game in the named halves. Given we’ve signed Reynolds we might as well play Dearden with Gamble?

Surprised to see that there hasn't been many changes. I reckon they could do worse than move Mann to the centres and Watson into 6. Their outside backs are woeful (except Best) and I've been really impressed with Watson this year. Barnett another who has been one of their best this year yet he's been moved into the middle on limited minutes to accomodate Fitzgibbon who has been a plodder for 2 years now.

15 missed tackles in 3 games suggests otherwise..

If Tedesco has passed the ball and is falling over you don’t need to tackle him, let alone try and knock his block off...

I wonder if Kelly would have gotten picked for the Broncs if this new rule of being able to pick outside the 30 man squad was enforced this week, or did clubs have the option to use that new rule this week?

Watching the Panthers in particular on the weekend, their wingers never left their wing and trusted their inside men. To'o in particular was a handful with the ball and also in defence.
