Round 7 concludes with the match of the weekend as Collingwood head to South Australia to take on an in-form Adelaide. Join The Roar for live scores from 4:40pm (AEST).
The Magpies are 5-1 and head in off the back of a spectacular comeback win over Essendon on Anzac Day. However, the win was soured by an eye injury to Scott Pendlebury, who will miss the trip west, while Taylor Adams returns from suspension.
The Crows are unchanged for the second week in a row after getting out of jail against Hawthorn, with Darcy Fogarty slotting a clutch goal in the dying minutes.
Matthew Nicks’ team have been a force to be reckoned with at their Adelaide Oval fortress of late, and a win over the Magpies would not just confirm themselves as a bona fide finals contender, but possibly even loftier goals.

So did they chip it around and play so-called safe. Wholeheartedly agree take the game on. The only defence of a lead is attack. If that is what Adelaide did l hope it's a lesson that the young group take on and learn from.

Geelong fans seems to complain alot about travelling down the road to play footy

Yeah but the Crows also gave up a 5 goal lead to the Giants in round 1. And came back against the Tigers only to concede the last 5 goals of the game.

I watched the game Polly and feel entitled to mention the umpires

Pies just got lucky again :silly:

They need to go the country next week those umps

Crows should have been further ahead quarter time

Can’t Bogart the ANZAC day game and then complain about short turn around.
Peter the Scribe

Pies only in front for the last 20 seconds. Phew. Heart rate still up!

People complain about the umps, because they have heard other people on Social Media complain about the umps. Due to a desperation to fit in, via Social Media, people "copycat", and complain about the umps. It's all pretty boring to normal people, who use their own personality to fit in. Strange times in which we are living.

If crows were playing to win they’d probably have scored earlier in the quarter and it never get to that point. Crows 1 goal 1 behind to Pies 3 goals, 5 behinds in the final quarter.

Seems that way!

Im a crows fan and we definitely got the better of it but especially in the last quarter when it didn't seem to matter anyway Pies to good and we panicked under the pressure

Didn't see the game but well done Pies!! Commiserations Crows looks like they were leading all day! 5 day break, ANZAC hangover, Crows in top form at home, Pendles out along with a few others. It's a pretty valuable 4 points.
Virgil

I will still take them. Especially given what he had out and after the five day turnaround.

I think a few of those were Crows choking in front of goal. The Crows should have had a 4 goal lead with 5 minutes to play.

It happens. The Crows were 9 points up with 4 or 5 minutes to play. It could and probably should have been defendable. And the Crows needed a forward like Tex or Fogarty to stand up in those last few minutes to provide a target but it didn't happen.

Kicking skills by Adelaide in the last quarter fell apart. This was the area I think they have improved in most this year but it went backwards when it really counted today. I suppose thats the pressure. Could have almost put the game to bed in the first quarter this time poor kicking at goals. They must be gutted I sure am :unhappy: Geelong, St Kilda, WB and Brisbane to come

Bombers made the same mistake last week

Yes - they keep finding away of doing it so it can't be just luck.
