Like I said, 10-11, not 8. And that's clearly not some kind of general rule, either. You get what you can negotiate and it's often based on what the particular clubs actually have, rather than precise worth. There isn't a chance in hell the Bombers let him go for a pick in the 20s. It's just not on the cards at all, and nor should it be. Dodoro would actually be stubborn enough to seriously look at re-drafting Saad through the PSD. It won't happen, though. There is a fair bit of talk on social media that the clubs met yesterday and are very close to resolution. They were never that far apart.

Yes, I agree these are good questions.

No as Dodo wants 8 or 2021 1st rounder. Just give 8 and get a pick back (2nd or 3rd) whatever or risk the PSD. Essendon can't get Caldwell and Saad in the PSD and would Essendon pick up a player that doesn't want to be there or one that wants to be there.

I disagree. Why should the players at the top have their over-inflated salaries guaranteed while the bottom 5% are made redundant? If the AFL was a work-place, which it is in all senses, and there were 20 workers, would you agree to a paycut or watch one of your workmates get sacked? It's a feast or famine mentality. Things have been going so well for so long, but now the AFL is crying poor and making clubs cut players that would otherwise keep their jobs. Billionaires crying poor seems to make a lot of people feel sorry for them and attack the unions. What a sad country we've become when everyone thinks only for themselves. One bloke gets to keep his $800K but another two blokes get fired.

Not sure what his worth would be but has impressed me when he plays. Adds a lot of speed and excitement around the ball plus is hard in the contest. Reminds me of a young Jed Anderson at the Hawks.

There goes the microwave Chris. The club were set on Aaron Naughton and changed to Stevo last minute. They have to stick with him and train him to lose his fear over Summer. He needs to watch how Callum Brown hits the packs.

What about Richmond’s first pick for Stephenson?

Richmond don’t need anyone. They are too brilliantly run.

Wouldn't offer Collingwood anything below pick 50 for Treloar. They don't want him so they either accept it or keep him.

How to get him there? What would you give North, 3 way with Higgins to Geelong.
