Two of the hottest teams in the AFL go head-to-head as the Brisbane Lions host the Port Adelaide Power at The Gabba. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:40pm (AEST).

After a disappointing loss in Round 1, Brisbane have been much better since the season resumed, knocking off Fremantle, West Coast and Adelaide – the latter two in very convincing fashion. After a decade in the wilderness, the Lions look like the real deal and a win here over their early 2000’s rivals would be huge.

Port Adelaide sit atop the AFL ladder after claiming four wins from four matches. Unlike their fellow hub sides, they’ve been sublime in the unusual circumstances, claiming regular big wins. The closest anyone’s come to the Power this year has been Fremantle, who still fell short by five goals.

Brisbane did the double on Port last season, winning by 17 points at home and 48 away. Prior to that, however, the Power had won five straight meetings and seven of the previous eight.

Bad kicking is bad footy, 6 scoring shots for 5 behinds, confidence shot, game over. Disappointing mental toughness tonight.

Fair enough, I respect that. I wanted Lyon gone for about 3 years before he finally want. Just don't think Kenny is that bad in the grand scheme of things, you'll play finals this season.

I think it was about right. Port just didn't really have a shot after quarter time.

Nope, this one by far. In good form, undefeated, and then roll over like that? Worst performance by a wide margin.

So did Ross. Different values to suit an argument? So contradictory.

Worst game Port has played since 2012. If this isn't enough to see a coaching change, I don't know what will be.
