By The Roar / Editor

“That should have been an inspirational lifter for that team, in a moment where their season was on the line.”

I don’t buy in to this attempt to create another headline.

Sen, the way Hutchinson wants his radio ppl and Sunday footy show ppl to behave is ridiculous but then again most sports media beyond the sport itself is ridiculous

And his opinion is as important as mine :silly: at least he gets paid for saying/writing stupidity

The close one they lost the other week. I think it was Freo.

Which game? I can’t remember it but I do know that he often goes the punch when he should be marking.

He didn’t “move on” to us this year, he has always been into us. I agree he doesn’t have anything else to offer, but yet he is everywhere.

Oh yeah definitely calculated. Essendon copped it from him a lot last year because we were the pariahs of the comp, this year he has moved on to you guys. He's not the only ex player making a career out of this style but he definitely is the most prevalent and unlike others, who also provide some analysis/insights, I dont think he has much else to offer

The game did not stop until the umpires saw the medical staff around him. Players don’t go over to interrupt the medical staff but wait until they see what happens. If the player gets up a & walks off the ground like Newman did then they know he is alive and conscious. You basically only see team mates go over to a player if he is being carted off the ground.

He almost missed the ball. Inspiration.

Its not personal, but it is calculated and consistent - he knows bagging Carlton gets a good response for him on the socials. His attitude towards Walsh is exhibit A.

Yeah i am sure the medical professionals trying to help him would have loved all these players checking in to see how he was. Nothing the players could do to help so better to focus on the tack at hand and stay in the game.

It may be inspirational but he made a meal of it. I don't know why defenders go the spoil when this kick was begging for a mark. Dawson from Sydney punched one out the other week when he was practically on his own and it pretty much cost them the game. The med staff were looking after him. No biggy.

hmm I noticed this as well, which looked strange tbh.. not sure why nobody cared to check on the poor block, who could have had a broken spine given the fall.. Carlton are a shambles atm, and I feel for their poor fans, 20+ years of mediocrity and running...

DOnt think its a personal thing with Carlton, he's just made a name for himself by making controversial remarks and taking pot shots and players/teams

When Brad Sheppard went down after colliding with Saad I didn’t see West Coast players going over to him. As usual Cornes is just digging into Carlton like he does every week.

It's pretty obvious Cornes doesn't like Carlton much for whatever reason but he's spot on here.
