we’ve won 2 out 3 bledisloe’s at the MCG with an average crowd of 81k.
On the flip side the last 3 Bled’s in sydney have been lost 43-5, 38-13 and 54-34.

Kennett unleashes on Hawks board rivals in late-night Twitter tirade

I dont think dodoro is that safe, wait till after the draft and rookie period ends and I think there will be some announcements re dodoro. If rumours are to be believed the whole board room fall out was kicked off by the internal review mahony conducted that was scathing of dodoro. I was worried that with the changes at board level dodoro would survive and mahony would get the flick but it looks like mahony has been given more responsibility post external review and replaced dodoro as the face of the club during trade period.

'Lack of unity', unfit players torched as Bombers' scathing review revealed

no argument there, I was more saying McDonald’s presence last year was able to mask some of the issues with the gameplan. Or maybe it was the combo of brown and McDonald as I seem to recall them struggling to land on a balanced combo in the fwd line till it clicked at the right time.

Melbourne crash and burn, to be left in no man's land

Is it as simple as missing Tom McDonald? All their other key forward options just havent performed even the bare minimum of creating a contest to get the small fwds into the game. Which means the mids expend alot of energy in the first half of each match for minimum reward and then decent defences can cut them on the transition with minimal pressure applied like the McCartin brothers and then Rich/Coleman were able to in the finals. The dogs were exposed in a similar way in the elimination final playing such inexperienced key forwards.

really didnt see much in the berry incident. As others have said oliver had his elbow down on his throat with all his upper body weighing down on it.

Hickey won the battle with them too. Jackson played his best footy this year when gawn was out. He has been poor all season when playing predominantly forward.

Agree that sydney was the most impressive team and Longmire the most impressive coach of the weekend.
If I hadnt watched the match and just read Oliver and May’s stat sheets I would have assumed the Dees won comfortably. Even watching the first quarter and the first 10 min of the 3rd quarter it felt like another comfortable demons win based on superiority in the air and centre bounces but the swans were able to stop the demons momentum like no other team has before through perfect game strategy and execution.

And then there were six: Who wins the flag from here?

Dogs supporters would know how to spot a soft free considering how many your team of divers and duckers get every week.

the longer hird stays silent without coming out and saying he isnt interested the more nervous I get.

AFL News: Bombers turmoil deepens with CEO quitting, Fyfe 'cherry ripe' for Freo finals, Rayner banned

mixed feelings about X stepping down. On one hand he needs to own his failures but on flip side I am worried that this means team sheedy has won the backroom war which means Mahony out and Dodoro survives yet again (and possibly odds of Hird being named coach shorten 😡 )

He was asked the hypothetical by Wheatley on SEN and he all but flat out said no, said that it felt like there was too much off field crap to deal with. After hearing that I was hoping they had been working on clarkson for a while as if they had only gone to him this week I am sure he would have similar reservations…..i shouldn’t have had faith in our Board to be that organised.

'A real watershed moment for our club': Roos rejoice as Clarko signs on, Hird to Bombers rumours grow stronger

the board trot him out whenever they need to distract the rank & file supporters, and it always seems to work. Hopefully more supporters are wise to it now.

I’ll be done with the club. Sheedy is a big part of our cultural problem

jesus christ our Board is a laughing stock. Sheedy needs to ride off into the sunset.

Yeah i think thats what wright was saying to hodge when we won the penalty after siren

REACTION: 'Obstacles become the path' - Quade defiant after Achilles rupture in Wallabies' 'unfathomable' win

I knew it was only a matter of time before the mental health card was played. You could just see it being set up with Eddies ranting on footy classified the week before and the constant lie being spouted by the pie friendly media about Ginnivian being treated differently to other players.

Lethal is almost as senile as rex and malthouse. None of them should be anywhere near a microphone

AFL News: Lethal Leigh blasts rulemakers for tearing game apart, De Goey returns, Wines backs Hinkley

the coverage of this has been helen lovejoy levels of hysterical. All this talk of a potentially serious injury to ginivan….newsflash he was fine and played the rest of the game (well apparently he did, hardly sighted him). On the flip side no mention from the media of Redman going to hospital coughing up blood after a dog act by Mihocek.

AFL News: Ginnivan deserved free but initiated contact, Hawkins to play on, COVID hits North, Greene to repair image

Can only think of hardwick who would be a bigger whinger among the current crop of coaches. Scott has toned it down last couple of years. Hinkley probably doesnt deserve to be coaching port so can imagine many port fans are sick of him but wouldnt really call him annoying for a neutral supporter. I hate sam mitchell more as a player than as a coach and the rest of the coaching group I would say are generally affable or have no media presence at all.

AFL News: Beveridge blasts tackle rule change, CEO says players to blame, Hardwick fumes at umpires

Thats the big elephant in the room isnt it. Similarly (but obviously not as serious an issue) i think ginivan has copped more attention from fans/media than others because his look and the way he carries himself doesnt conform to the usual afl player stereotype. Regardless its about time the afl clamped down on this, the interpretation of rules has swung way too much in favour of the attacking team over the last few years, largely because of the AFLs obsession with promoting fast paced and high scoring football.

AFL News: Beveridge blasts tackle rule change, CEO says players to blame, Hardwick fumes at umpires

Would love a warner type at essendon, our coaches talks about blue collar style footy but our recruiting team seem allergic to midfielders like warner who embody this style.
He is tough as a cats head and works his butt off every single game.

AFL Friday Footy Fix: Bevo's Bulldogs are broken. Is he the right man to fix them again?

Ive heard rumours Joshy shopped this story around to create some buzz as he isnt getting any bites from the private sector. Poor Sam Edmunds was the only journo desperate enough to answer his call. I guess its still better than how tim wilson has handled his loss.
