The Magic Round of the NRL Premiership continues tonight when the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles play the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 8.05pm AEST

This is a Manly home game in name only. We can expect a massive Brisbane crowd tonight as the Broncos look to make it 4 wins on the trot. Two of those wins were against some of the better teams in the competition, so the Sea Eagles will have their work cut out for them.

It was the Brothers Trbojevic show last Saturday afternoon as the Sea Eagles defeated the Tigers 36-22. Despite the scoreline, the Tigers looked well in the game with the final scoreline a little misleading.

Daly Cherry-Evans and Kieran Foran both look to be enjoying their footy this season and have combined well. Tom Trbojevic was heavily involved in his first match back from injury however he will be seeking more impact tonight.

In a big boost for Manly, Haumole Olakau’atu returns to the side this week. Ben Trbojevic moves to the centres at the expense of Morgan Harper and Andrew Davey replaces Kurt de Luis on the bench.

If the Broncos win over a illness-hit Sharks was overlooked, there was no denying it after the Broncos scored a 32-12 over the Rabbitohs in Sydney. Brisbane are one of the big improvers this year and a top 8 spot is well within reach.

Adam Reynolds has had a massive impact on the Broncos and he has brought his talented but young backline along with him. Pat Carrigan made up for lost time with a huge effort, on return from injury, against the Rabbits.

Brisbane get Payne Haas and Kurt Capewell back, pushing Carrigan to lock, Kobe Hetherington to the bench and TC Robati to the reserves.

Prediction

This match up promises to be one of the highlights of Magic Round.

It really is a toss of the coin but I think the “real” home ground advantage tilts this towards the Broncos.

We can expect Adam Reynolds to put on another master class.

Well, there is the current Australian half back.

Broncos have certainly solved their halves problem. Shows it wasn't actually a halves problem but a half back problem. On track for a top 4 place for as long as Reynolds stays on the field. Cowboys with Townsend doing just as well. Dolphins probably to agree by next year, there aren't any quality half backs in Qld.

It all started with the double header many years before magic round. I heard a figure of $300k from the gate Manly get.

Nah they were doing it for a few years before magic round. I think the deal was that they get the gate, paid expenses and a sweetener on top. idk what it looks like now with magic round.

The young Inglis comparison is dangerous but gee it’s like a clone

Maybe. He was very young to be forced to be a club captain and forward leader. Maybe that weight is off his shoulders.

The move to Brisbane has really worked for Reynolds too. He hasn't played this well in a while. It looks like he's just been given license to play as he wants and he has really cut loose. The forward pack is also really putting the team on the front foot. Some of those tries were outstanding!

Broncos are looking good! Reynolds buy was a masterstroke! You can see why they let Coates go. Spent the money where it needed to go...a decent halfback. Martin at 1 has also worked out well, and probably on bottom dollar too! At the start of the season I had Manly as a serious contender...still a ways to go but they are looking pretty poor.

I can seriously never understand how even before Magic Round happened that Manly willingly took a home game to Brisbane to play the Broncos.. some genius in management obviously
