NRL action continues with the South Sydney Rabbitohs hosting the Canberra Raiders. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 7.35pm AEST.

The Rabbitohs are coming off a disappointing loss against the Eels at Allianz Stadium from last week.

Jason Demetriou will be shoring up on the defensive aspect with the Rabbitohs conceding 30+ points in their loss. Campbell Graham has been named at centre, but is out due to his sternum injury with 18th man Richard Kenner likely to slot in the centres. Keaon Koloamatangi was named in the reserves and is set to be a late inclusion into the Rabbitohs forward pack.

Just like the Rabbitohs, the Raiders have had a nice winning streak be broken against the underdog in the past week. With Hudson Young (Origin) and Elliot Whitehead (suspension) unavailable for the Raiders, Corey Harawira-Naera starts in the second row, Joseph Tapine moves to lock while Pasami Saulo is starting at prop. Nick Cotric makes his return from a hamstring injury off the bench.

Prediction

Both teams are missing key players to State of Origin duty. Neither side would want their losing streak to extend past the one game. But this is shaping up to be a thriller. The Raiders are still naming a strong side, while the Rabbitohs still have the majority of their spine intact. Expect Lachlan Ilias to bounce back from a poor performance and lead the Rabbitohs to victory. Rabbitohs by 8.

Don't get too excited as Souths did have 7 players out. Mitchell, Murray, Graham, Arrow, Burgess, Havili, Moale.

The Raiders have now won 9 out of their past 13 games against Souths. And have beaten 3 out of the current top 4 - the Sharks, Broncos and now the Rabbitohs.

Yes. They almost always are to a point, even if you know it's a possibility, like people with diagnosed epilepsy, it can still just take you by surprise in the moment. I hope he's alright.

Well done the Green Machine. Into the Room of Mirrors for Souths - you can’t win the Comp letting in that many points. As Billy Field sang in 1981, ‘ Can’t help myself, bad habits.’

Well done raiders, but a fair chunk of the rabbitohs side is out. If rabbitohs were full strength, raiders don't get close

FULL TIME SOU 26 CAN 33 In the end, the result was not the focal point of this contest. But what a win for the Raiders tonight. To have had the composure and resilience to come from behind late after a frightening incident to their teammate is a true testament to how close the playing group is. Hard to critique the Rabbitohs as they did play far better this week, but they did need to show more resilience in defence.
