Certainly hope not Tony ,has an off contract play like a champion feel to it .He has had a couple of good games but been below par the last couple of years IMO

NRL News: Fifita picks his new club after dropping Titans bombshell, clubs warned whingeing players will be binned

Fifita signs with the Chooks. As a Panthers fan not too unhappy with that maybe we have dodged a bullet and apparently still have $850000 to spend!

In your opinion ,but not necessarily, its possible to be rational and annoyed at the same time

NRL News: Bennett set for Magic moment with Souths, Cashed-up Roosters enter race for Fifita

And when you lost all those players were you happy about it or just a bit p…….. off?

NRL News: Bennett set for Magic moment with Souths, Cashed-up Roosters enter race for Fifita

Well the conversation pops up every now and then about rewarding clubs for developing players its not a new thing.Having a huge nursery does not guarantee success. Nor do you need a huge nursery to have success, the Roosters and storm are perfect examples of that. But at the moment there are several clubs that don’t bother to develop at a high level .Why should those clubs be on a level playing field with the ones that do.Maybe a transfer fee if you want to buy an origin player or international that another club has developed.Just looking at it from the other side.

NRL News: Bennett set for Magic moment with Souths, Cashed-up Roosters enter race for Fifita

I think its more the number of origin players, internationals and premiership winners that they have developed that end up at other clubs which is the point.

NRL News: Bennett set for Magic moment with Souths, Cashed-up Roosters enter race for Fifita

Firstly I think the chooks do a pretty good job with development,i know they often buy the big names that come on the market but they also scout country areas for young talent and develop that talent as good as anybody, and they manage quite well without the nursery that other clubs have.Nobody is saying Penrith are disadvantaged,my point is some clubs leave the development to others. Do you honestly believe losing Sezer ,Tapau and Averillo is the same as losing Burton ,Kikau and Crichton?Maybe if there was a reward for developing players it would encourage others to do so.

NRL News: Bennett set for Magic moment with Souths, Cashed-up Roosters enter race for Fifita

Do you really think redistribution of boundaries would change the attitude of some clubs TB.Your mob has benefited more than most.Kikau and Burton were brought to the club from elsewhere and developed into premiership winners ,changing boundaries would make no difference there. The Eels have a sizeable junior area but they continuously source players from Penrith .The Tigers have largely ignored the south west whilst buying Panthers players on a regular basis.Didnt the Dogs let a couple of local boys go last year and import another Panther.Manly have been raiding the western suburbs for years stacking there junior rep sides. It Wouldn’t matter how many juniors you give to some clubs they are either incapable or unwilling to make the effort to develop there own.

I hear what your saying jimmmy ,but gee it was minimal contact from schneider ,nothing forceful he basically grazed his calf.If he got binned fair enough but I’ve seen worse let go.

'How does it not get sin-binned?' Benji fumes at ref's soft call as Cleary insists Edwards not hurt

Thats all I’m saying not the worst thing that’s happened during a game and probably should have resulted in a sin bin according to the rules but I feel there has been an over reaction to it and I doubt it changes the result .Ditto for the Sezer incident.

'How does it not get sin-binned?' Benji fumes at ref's soft call as Cleary insists Edwards not hurt

I never said you called it an horrendous act ,that was my opinion on how its being portrayed. But you did describe it as an ankle tap. Are you standing by that statement?Attacking the legs of a kicker is normally 10 in the bin as well. I saw both incidents at the lower end of offending .IMO there was minimal contact in both instances and I feel both incidents are being made bigger than are.

'How does it not get sin-binned?' Benji fumes at ref's soft call as Cleary insists Edwards not hurt

I never saw an ankle tap ,and did I read correctly that Benji called it a trip? What I saw is four fingers brush Olam’s calf, not grabbing his calf but brushing his calf. Nowhere near the ankle.I agree probably a penalty but not the horrendous act as its being painted as.

Actually TB he went from Souths to Penrith to Manly then back to Penrith

The Fish that broke the Panthers’ back: Dynasty in danger with JFH the biggest blow in long list of star departures

In all fairness BG why are the Tigers a struggling club. They have been a basket case and mis managed for years. They have a huge junior nursery in southwest Sydney but have ignored it .Instead they seem more concerned with Leichhardt and Concord .The Panthers have had maybe 6-8 seasons in their history where they have been a genuine contender and now are in there 58th season. They too have spent many years as a struggling club. The Panthers owe the Tigers or any other “struggling ” club no Favours .Sure they have a huge junior nursery but can still only sign 30 players to an NRL contract just like any other club. Lets not forget the kids that are identified by Penrith from the bush or NZ.They put the effort in and identify these youngsters .Every other club has the same opportunity but Penrith have found the formula and do it better than most. To say Penrith should not take a player from the Tigers just because they are a struggling club is poor form in my opinion. Starting to sound like let’s give everyone a trophy. This is professional sport and only the strong survive .And I must add BG I often read your comments with interest and do enjoy your views but I’m afraid I disagree with you on this one

The Fish that broke the Panthers’ back: Dynasty in danger with JFH the biggest blow in long list of star departures

As I understand it Lomax and the Dragons agreed to terminate the contract at the end of this season which puts him in the same category as Wighton was last year.Happy to be corrected.

NRL News: Sea Eagles show Schuster the door, Eels encounter 'market value' hitch in Lomax deal, Reynolds eyes early return

Didn’t Jack take less money at the Bunnies than what Canberra were offering?Surely if the Raiders were offering X amount of dollars that becomes his market value. I fail to see the difference. If Zac is prepared to take less money then that’s on him

Not in round 1 it doesn’t .A few years back the tigers beat the storm twice in the first six weeks and didn’t play finals .March form is no indication of September results

'It’s pointless us playing here': Richo's grave warning on Leichhardt as Tigers take aim at 'gold urinals' Panthers

All I’m saying is why shouldn’t Penrith get an upgrade when the other stadiums have been knocked down and rebuilt twice.Id also like to add the people of Penrith are also taxpayers who have contributed to those 4 new stadiums as well.As for the cost ,being in the industry I can assure you building costs have skyrocketed in the years since commbank stadium was built .I could be wrong but as I remember it opened around 2018
