The second game in Las Vegas today is shaping up as a blockbuster, with the Sydney Roosters taking on the Brisbane Broncos at Allegiant Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 3:30pm (AEDT).

The Roosters enter this weekend’s season-opening double-header with arguably their best squad since Cooper Cronk’s premiership farewell five years ago.

With Jared Waerea-Hargreaves suspended, Spencer Leniu will start for the Roosters in Vegas.

The 23-year-old earned the reputation of being one of the most impactful bench forwards in the NRL at Penrith, coming off the bench in all but three of his 83 matches.

The Roosters have lost Billy Smith to a minor hamstring injury for the Broncos clash.

Joseph Aukuso-Suaalii will move to centre, with Fetalaiga ‘Junior’ Pauga to come in on the wing.

Another rule that cannot possibly be applied consistently. Shooting themselves in the foot… again. Why?

Not sure you can say Walsh lost it for the Broncs Steveng.. He also set-up a try, scored a try and saved a certain try.. He's the sort of player who is going to push the limits and that'll mean there are mistakes in his game.

Somehow I think Spencer will take over from JWH,Pickett.. Hopefully he doesn't spend too much time on the side lines...

This Las Vegas experiment has been a success with a very loud 40,000 crowd in attendance. This only promises to get bigger and better over the next 5 years.

Spencer Leinu may be our most important signing in the last 5 years. Much needed mongrel that we needed.

That was another great first round encounter. It's fair to say this one was built on defence. The Roosters kept the impact of Mam and Walsh to a minimum and deserved the premiership points. Both sides have a few injury worries and its remains to be seen if any action is taken on Leniu for an alleged racial slur
