Nope. Watch it again and tell me who “slammed him on his neck”. Are you claiming DCE did or are you claiming Olakau’atu did? He landed in a dangerous position, but noone “slammed him” and they alrwady copped “medicine” in the game with penalty and sin bin. Your claim is an obvious exaggeration.

NRL Round 8 judiciary: Massive Manly blow as Haumole and DCE banned, Sivo charged for 'stupid' hit

That’s not a response nor relevant to anything I’ve written. Stupid.

Yes. That’s what he’s doing… presenting the case and proposing or recommending action. The exact definition of advocacy. It’s not begging. Huh?

NRL News: Top ref 'rested', Mam has 'no regrets' over Leniu saga, Wally reveals concussion battle

So… what message is NRL admin sending this week? Goodness knows. How is the game improved by suspending DCE and Ola? It was a judo throw over DCE’s hip/thigh… but Ola didn’t lift and had no idea that’s what was happening until it had happened. It put Lane at risk and thankfully no horrible outcome, but neither tackler showed any intent. It it was dangerous, but how was it either careless or reckless? I thought the sin bin was sufficient, I don’t see what behaviour NRL head office intends to discourage or what message they want to send with this suspension. What I know, as a St G supporter is that I want to see both players on the field next week.

Agree SM. Excellent judo throw over DCE’s hip/thigh… but Ola didn’t lift and had no idea that’s what was happening until it had happened. It put Lane at risk and thankfully no horrible outcome, but neither tackler broke any rules or showed any intent – it was neither careless or reckless, but it was dangerous nonetheless. I thought sin bin was sufficient.

Sure. Except that’s not what happened.

Ridiculous statement from the bunker. The bunker again opens itself to outright ridicule.

Gutho fumes at 'stupid' Sivo as Parra throw away lead to lose AGAIN - but should Manly worry about Haumole?

Glad you acknowledged Gutho’s tireless efforts – he really drives this team. Carrying an injury and still playing very strong. Manly have been getting off to good starts, Parra clearly front loaded their effort in this game and started well but they still don’t have a long yardage kick or a game managing half without Moses.

If Edwards isn’t selected at fullback, NSW still need a 14 and an 18. I expect he’ll be in the squad somewhere. I’m sticking with my original point.

MVP Dylan Edwards is the man Penrith's system might not be able to cover

Do you mean “another” dumb ass suspension.

Storm slaughter second-rate Souths as 'a myriad of errors' hammer the final nail into Demetriou's coaching coffin

Weird play the ball, and that error was the ballgame.

'Can't believe it': Wayde Egan is every Warriors fan as minuscule error costs them valuable RTS try

I am well past passing off being upset as a serious “mental health” issue. The entire point is that this incident was not, and is not in any way out of the ordinary at Penrith or at other clubs in the NRL regardless of the disingenuous Fox hyperventilation.

I guess we’ll find out who is “next man up” for Penrith at fullback during the 2024 SOO period.

MVP Dylan Edwards is the man Penrith's system might not be able to cover

What’s next? Will the entire Storm squad sue Bellamy and the club because preseason training was unreasonably exhausting? Isn’t this exactly how those with weaker will are weeded out – any player unwilling to push themselves beyond any reasonable limits is welcome to play recreational sport. Still, i’d love to see the clauses in player contracts that enable these necessarily unreasonable training and performance requirements?

If the Parra game plan was to exhaust their middle forwards… they totally nailed it.

Darwin theory dictates only the strongest survive - Arthur on the rocks at Eels after embarrassing capitulation

I hope they don’t select Hynes. It was really disruptive for Nico’s form and Cronulla’s season last year. Id love to see Cronulla and the Warriors get a clear and undisrupted run at it this year and both have the best chance of being competitive at the pointy end of the season. I’d find a spot for Jake starting and Junior Paulo off the bench.

Agree about Matterson. He was a passenger. AND, if the Parra game plan was to exhaust their middle forwards… they totally nailed it.

“Sack the coach” is a cheap narrative. A close friend is a “corporate management consultant”. His long experience is that top management is often the fundamental issue, but they rarely appreciate or respond well to “management failure” as a key finding of any performance review…

Parra completely ran out of puff. I can’t believe they didn’t attempt a single short kick off restart to regain possession, they sure had plenty of opportunities to try this. Parra had one crack at wrestling back momentum in the second half with RCG and Paulo rolling the sleeves up and leading a short lived charge only for an unforced error by Lussick knocking on at dummy half to kill their efforts dead. Horrible moment for Parra. Matterson was a passenger, once touted by the media as a marquee recruit and club captain for the Dolphins. That was a massacre. Well played Dolphins and congratulations to their actual captain Jesse Bromwich on 300.

As a StG supportEr it is a relief to see there is a clear, comprehensible plan that is making use of the strengths of the current roster and they are no longer playing musical chairs with the spine. Encouraging.

Sufferball: How the Dragons are turning pain into pleasure under Shane Flanagan

Other than Penrith/Broncos I can’t name a reliable team, and the ladder doesn’t even support that. Season 2024 is more unpredictable than recent seasons. I was bullish for the Sharks until they were flogged by the Tigers.

Sizzling Sharks show they're the real deal with savage attack but question marks linger for misfiring Cowboys

It’s the approach they’ve taken in ARL. In that game the refs call what they see in real and the game keeps moving. They have made this decision on officiating deliberately to maintain the “fabric” of the came. If you think that’s “silly” or impossible then that’s just ignorant.

'Both were really clear': Roosters in a rage over ref's contentious calls as Storm win on the back of two dubious tries

“The real deal”? I hope you are correct, but don’t forget that the Sharks were thrashed by the Tigers in round 3 by 32 to 6, and their only other convincing win so far this season was against Canterbury. A good win over a very poor Cowboys today, and having a comparatively good run with injuries so far. Maybe a bit early to proclaim them heavyweight contender.

I thought it was nothing but a reflex action from a player that had been completely wrong footed.
