It’ll be a strange afternoon at Leichhardt Oval without any fans or the Tigers when the Sydney Roosters take on the Manly Sea Eagles at the much-loved suburban ground. Join The Roar for live scores from 5:30pm.

Both sides come into this match following Round 1 losses, the Roosters to the Panthers and the Sea Eagles to the Storm.

Without any new injury concerns this week, Manly have persevered with the same match-day group, while Trent Robinson’s men will be boosted by the return of former Origin second-rower Angus Crichton. However, there’s still no sign of captain Boyd Cordner for the Tricolours.

I’ve been watching Jade Anderson for awhile now and the way he played in the Koori knock out in the overall winning side from the south coast Has had me hoping he gets a start on a wing position and with Garrick so so well on one side Taufua must be looking over his shoulder atm. Love his hits but boy he gives me anxiety!!!

I wonder what Des has got planned for Jorge? For all his good points his downsides are too much I believe. If he was incredibly safe , his lack of pace could be overlooked to a fair degree but slow and mistake prone as a combination is just too much. Turbos' thought processes are improving every year and he is becoming a really smart player yet Jorge is possibly going backwards in the commonsense department.

Manly just scraped in. Have only managed one try in two games. Seem to lack a bit of pace out wide. Taufua on the left wing is heart attack material every time the ball goes near to him. Dont think that Manly can afford him any longer. Hope they give young Tevita Funa a go there.

I know what you mean, before the season started I was probably more excited than I have been for a good number of years and yet now its all gone a bit flat. It might just be things in general and not footy related at all because my team played away the first two weeks and I would have been watching on telly anyhow. Then again, it might be because my team have been playing a bit flat.

Roosters will not make the 8 if the comp is still going

Being a lair was fine when he had the old #7 steering the ship. It's still a high standard but not like they were.

Yeah I did too. The players are certainly playing for real. That was an outstanding effort. They were out on their feet but kept putting in. Was great to see!

I am and I confess to not breathing easily when the ball is headed his way. Particularly when it’s bobbling around anywhere near his own in goal. He is a crowd favourite because of the big hits but unlike the previous maestro Matai who was a great all round player, that’s all he’s got

Weird feeling. Normally a 1 point win over the Roosters, which we probably should have lost if not for exceptionally good last ditch saves from Tommy Turbo and Reuben Garrick, would have me up and dancing. But this season is just...... different.

Keary... cost his team the game, wants to be a lair, just desserts.

Great game by both teams. A really gritty defensive match but Manly were better in particular the key positions. You hardly ever see Tedesco outplayed but Tom T was the better fullback tonight. Manly’s halves were better and the hookers were about even.
