The Wests Tigers and Sydney Roosters meet in Round 2 NRL action at Campbelltown Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 4:05pm (AEDT).

After an impressive Round 1 hit-out against the struggling Sea Eagles, the Sydney Roosters travel to a wet Campbelltown Stadium to tackle another of the Round 1 losers.

It looks to be all systems go for the Tricolours and another semi-final appearance in 2021 seems almost assured, considering their squad depth and the statement they made on the opening weekend.

Wests were ordinary against the Raiders, with poor ball control and a lack of genuine chances created in the red zone condemning them to a 30-12 loss in the nation’s capital.

Michael Maguire will be looking for an immediate turnaround, otherwise Tigers fans may be at risk of thinking that once again, the troops at his disposal are not up to scratch when it comes to the heavyweights of the competition.

Prediction
It is hard to see anything other than a Roosters win. The wet weather is potentially a leveller.

However, the Chooks can grind with the best of them and however open or clogged the game becomes, they should have far too many weapons for a brave and committed Wests outfit.

The Sydney Roosters have towelled up the Wests Tigers by 40 to 6 at Campbelltown Stadium. In what was a forgettable day for the home side, their lack of class and depth was exposed by one of the best NRL rosters and from the opening minutes there was only going to be one winner. The early pattern of play continued for the entire contest. Brett Morris and James Tedesco scored early and bar a Jacob Liddle scoot from dummy-half that produced the only Tigers try of the day, the visitors continued to score at will. In the end it was a seven tries to one demolition and the Roosters will march on to Round 3 knowing that the entire competition has taken note of their hot form. Michael Maguire's men will be somewhat deflated after conceding 70 points over the opening two rounds. Sadly for Wests, hard work on the training track may not be enough to make them competitive against the competition heavyweights in 2021. They appear too far off the pace and unlikely to challenge for a top eight spot based on what we have seen thus far. Final Score Wests Tigers…………..6 Sydney Roosters……..40

Dane Laurie 170 run metres behind James Tedesco 191 run metres. In the shadow of greatness but not by too much and in a losing team with very little positives to take out of this game.

Not even you Dutski you old Rooster. Not even you. Collins looks very good again this year. I really hope it isn’t raining next week for the 60-8 rematch with the Bunnies. From the looks of it today the chooks have no problem in the wet, but the Bunnies are all butterfingers! The Bunnies need to go up two gears just to compete I think based on the form of both teams so far this year.

Broncos-like performance from the Tigers here. Shame for the fans who came out to watch them in the conditions. Roosters and Panthers are looking the goods again in 2021 (although its early days)

80' The Tigers put it down and the Roosters are back on the attack. Keary finds J Morris on the left. The ball is dropped and that will probably end the affair. Wests Tigers…………..6 Sydney Roosters……..40

How Luke Brooks has played 150 games is beyond me - I doubt he'd get a game in an NRL team other than the Tigers in Australia
