By everyone.
Seems mum gets to squash kids dreams due to being overly cautious and not doing adequate research on the junior Game ????
I had a different upbringing to kids in the big cities but parents have become ridiculous IMO. FFS I know a couple who didn’t let kids walk on lino in sox in case they slipped over & hurt themselves.
Walker at fullback was a huge issue for you guys then. It wasn't just turbo v ordinary fullback (though he's the form player of the comp) it was that you had such a below par option that teams could single out.
You were basically playing down one tackle a set.
Seriously the bulldogs in attack have nothing, all bunched in the centre of the field, one out stuff, they are also so slow and can’t get near Saab and Turbo. There would be better park teams surely than this. The Brissy Jets or a central coast side off the bat could beat them. Addo Carr and Burton may save them as good buys. Like the Tigers the roster is terrible and you just can’t win games with such a roster.
I'm surprised he hasn't resigned.
I admit I'm no expert but talk of new teams entering the comp is farcical IMO. Perhaps (?) drop 2 teams or get the Dogs to move to north NSW coast or Wests Tigers to WA for a few games a year?
It's 2021 not 1951.
Not building strong rural feeder league clubs is sad.
And the mum's need to be told to let their kid play if they want.
Manly had a horror draw at the seasons start to add to Turbo’s absence, playing 3 of the top 4 sides in the first five rounds. Strange draw for a side finishing 13th the season before. Totally agree on Foran, he is a quality player and when injury free is as good as any half in the game
I’d like to know that as well
None of them are Dally M winners but their ongoing lack of opportunity is puzzling. Atoni had a run of good games before getting axed (seem to remember a shocker in there somewhere just before he got dropped). He’s the sort of player I could see kicking on somewhere else (like Taupau) so why he’s not getting a chance is baffling
Lewis won selection for the Souths game but got knocked out early and hasn’t been given a chance since
Maybe he feel better now St George have had their little weekend party. Wonder what the NRL will do . Loss of points obviously fining them doesn't work. I feel for Canterbury supporters as this once proud club is now struggling on the field but off it. I think they were clutching at straws when they appointed Barrett.
Raiders, genuine Top 4 aspirations pre season, 44 put on them by a frailer side, 2 wins in 3 months,65 missed tackles (Flanno mentioned 24 as the acceptable number)..THAT’S dispirit.
After 4 rounds the only Manly player with an intact reputation was Turbo and he was in the grandstand watching the nightmare. This game looked like it could be decisive in determining who would collect the spoon a couple of months back.
Thing is the Dogs could turn it around next year with Fox and Burton and a good run with injuries along with a few players emerging from the ranks.
Foran has been described as the worst signing in history due to his salary and injuries by some, yet somehow he's back and doesn't have to carry teams any more.
I’m old enough to recall Manly putting 70 points on the Chocolate Soldiers. Can’t recall the venue. Had yesterday’s game been at Brookvale, Manly could have substituted Eagle Rock with “Route 66”.
Why didn't some of the reporters ask where were Atoni and Ogdon and Lewis (18th man). If all were available why throw in so many debutantes. Poor decisions, poor coaching.
Oh, and the try that Olakau’atu bombed not passing to Turbo in support… jeez, looking at it that way it’s probably luck we didn’t get 100 put on us…
Dogs had 11 players with less than 50 games experience, 8 with less than 30 games, five with less than 10 games and three making their debuts
Is anyone surprised at the score…?
Dogs full strength roster isn’t competitive at this level. Take Napa, Cotric, Elliott, Smith, Waddell, RFM, Okunbor, Wakeham, Schoupp, Crichton, Deitz and Katoa out and they were never going to get close against the red hot Sea Eagles
Even good teams have been getting 50 put on them this year. I’m honestly surprised this wasn’t worse. It easily could have been. Croker spilled the ball over the line, there was a dud forward pass call against Turbo, an unlucky (but correct) obstruction call against Burbo and Dogs lucky that DCE’s toe was scraping the dead ball line when he tapped it back in for Lawton

I had Canberra as a second 4 with downside risk. Papali falling off, Williams exit and Hodgson's engagement have just blown it up.
