Great comments Paul, the league media has a fair bit to answer to but their job is to create controversy with comments and Gus is a master at it. I guess you were talking about the offside blitz that lasted not long at all due to media outrage. Add to that the crack down on head high contact that lasted what, a month at best. Moore Park must have the attention span of a three year old.

I was actually interested in what Gus was saying leading up to that segment about the Panthers having the perfect preparation for the upcoming Storm game with two tough games - and then it all fell apart with his rambling tirade against all the recent rule changes introduced by the NRL.
Sure some rules could use some tweaking but do we really want to go back to the wrestle and ignore how technology can improve decision making. Its a different game now Gus - we don't want to go back to the dinosaur era of shoulder charges breaking someone's jaw going unpenalised.

I seem to remember this same bloke carrying on in 2018 when the refs had a clamp down which resulted in lots of penalties. As a result of HIS and his mates pressure, the refs backed off.
