Here's hoping Barry. Hits on kickers is in my top 5 of gripes about Rugba League. Personally I didn't think Radley was late, he kinda got there as the kick left the boot but he went high and leapt off the ground and got Henry in the air, so to speak, so all that has to add up to something. I'd also like to see them penalise the guy who gets there too late to sopt the kick, doesn't hit the kicker so much as grab him and hold him for a time. How is holding a man without the ball allowed?
I’m genuinely confused by this. He’s hit a kicker late (admittedly marginally). He leapt of the ground and collected Walker’s chin with his shoulder. This was 100% the most dangerous hit of the night. I was surprised he didn’t get sent. Even before the crackdown I would have expected him to get 10. Am I missing something here?
The Bondi Bully Boys were given a lesson.
The Clovelly Crocodile will be caged (again)
Bellyache may have a real problem next Thursday night.
Loved the pressers. KW the statesman. His confidence restored.
He lost the plot last night
The hit on TPJ is a good example of what you’re saying. He could have targeted 30cm lower and it would have been a great tackle, no risk of hitting the head
Hopefully the players learn
Hmm maybe we saw if differently, I saw contact on start below, not directly to the chin. The flop was closer to direct.
On the kick what he got sent for was forceful high contact. The general contact was, but not the high. Was definitely a penalty for late.
Agree in general on the kicker, the hard part with so many teams running on the 5th is when do they become a kicker?
Anyway not sour grapes, I'd have handed out 4-5 binnings. Just not sure why the ones starting high stayed on and the two travelling up are off.
Do you still want to pick up Ikavalu..
BM ,Victor the Inflicter... No,Victor the Thug.Along with JWH and Manu they lost the plot. As the Sharks did for 70 minutes ,the Broncs showed how to upset The Chooks with controlled aggression. The difference between the two games was that Wiz Kid Walker had a blinder against the Sharks, but a shocker last night
I thought his tackle on TPJ was pretty poor...
First view I thought it was an awesome hit but on replay his shoulder hit TPJ straight on the chin
The charge down on Kelly wasn’t great... it was late, he left the ground, he led with knees and elbows. He had no control and was lucky it didn’t turn out worse. Players need to be a bit smarting than that
Generally speaking I don’t know why the late hits on kickers are allowed. Very few of them are legitimate attempts at tackle and kickers don’t dummy and run when two thirds of the team are already downtown. Pretty cheap shots a lot of the time...
Maybe it’ll be the next crackdown
Victor the Inflicter ,no Victor the Grub. JWH and Manu lost the plot as well.Creigton was easily there best forward(again) by a long way.Brisbane just like the Sharks (for 70 Minutes) showed how to beat the Roosters with controlled agression. The difference between the two games ..Wizkid Walker had a blinder ,but last night a shocker.
Apart from all the noise, none of this in the 'old days" would have been much of an issue. It is probably the kind of play that the NRL wants to eradicate, which I am personally ok with. Had Radley whacked Albert around the chest there would have been no argument. I agree Radley's two other misdemeanors were definitely worse. It's not a Radley thing per se as most of the games enforcers are now under scrutiny, having said that Victor's performance was unacceptable tonight..
I think two of his later hits were worse. His first two were contact below that then went up (the force was mainly below the head).
Also think the drop is worse if that slips high. I would have binned him 3 times.
Same with Manu.
Playing back their infringements combined, the two I'd most likely not bin for were the two that got Victor a rest as the forceful part of the contact wasn't the head.
To be fair and balanced, the video should highlight ALL of Radley’s head shots and reckless play. It would be a good case study for the NRL to show how not to play. After his umpteenth caution(s) you would think it was time for an early shower?

Corey got this one very wrong in the call, just wanted to rant. It was as if he wasn't watching the replays.

The collision isn’t being taken out of the game The game is 80 minutes of non stop car crash force collisions - even with the crackdown

Don't understand the hight hits from Radley. Such a good tackler when he decides to do it properly, what's wrong with his brain?

Oh I think we should have got 4 to 5 binnings, they just weren't the ones that were binned.
