The Drua are fast becoming a threat away from home as well as at home. Winning a tight one against a very well organised and drilled Tahs was a further step I think in their developing self-belief. If they can carry that over into winning away they will become even more formidable. They have some serious world class athletes in their line up.

The execution was poor but the strategy was diabolical.

Yes with penalty advantage.

I don't like the golden point but that does not change the stupidity of the Tahs. None of them are smart enough for Test level rugby. A team with zero rugby IQ.

Yes, play for the penalty then try the low percentage play......Tahs have zero game IQ.

Yes exactly.... Play for the penalty and only go for a field goal if you get advantage...oh wait, that is what the team did who won the game....

To the Roar boys, you have the Drua #9 listed as Simione Kuruvoli, that was Frank Lomani in the #9 shirt, I recognise him from his days with the Drua when they won the old NRC. Though you are correct with the reserve half, Peni Matawalu. I guess S.Kuruvoli got hurt in a warm-up. I need to watch this match again as lots of players really put in a good game, some were rubbish in the 1st half but improved whereas others were plodders for the whole time. I will say I thought Ned Hannigan and Charlie Gamble put in excellent games both in attack and defence while Jake Gordon kept his team in the game. I also reckon Lauchlan Swinton was huge when he came on. He did loads of damage in defence and the rucks. To even out my accolades, some of the Tahs players really need to think about their game and how they can improve. However the Thugby box of chocolates is split between the Drua captain and their halfback, ie Meli Derenalagi and Frank Lomani. Both were everywhere in the game and were instrumental in the side's victory. ofc special mention to the Drua outside centre who carved up the Tahs' backs in the 1st half and scoring himself 3 juicy meat pies. Will definitely watch the replay in a couple of days time when the adrenaline levels drop.

Bet the fijians are happy with the W. You wouldn't be saying that if the tahs won.

Tricky, especially as not a long queue of alternatives. The excellent 2nd half doesnt polish what the the first half was.

a draw is a legitimate result and would've been a fair reflection of this game. Hopefully they dont keep it next year

Well done Jake Gordon and the Tahs for setting it up. Pretty bad miss sorry to say, he wasn’t under much pressure either.

Some marketing buffoon's idea.

Yeah I thought it was just a poor strike. 85 mins of huge Fijians running at you in brutal conditions might be a valid excuse but the set up wasn’t.

I know they are 1 from 5 but surely DC’s job is safe. It’s the best rugby they have played since 2014.

The ref had his arm out about to award a penalty to the Drua then changed his mind when the Drua half wit (I mean halfback) slaps the Tah player (H.Thompson-Stringer though I initially thought it was L.Swinton). That was one tough (brave if you like) call by the ref. :stoked:
