You said – his creativity has been stripped from his game.
– his job is to run up and down a 15 metre channel for 65 mins on one side of the field
– make tough carries, look for a possible offload as a fourth tackle option, and chase the kick
And then you say he’d have a tough time competing with good Union forwards.
Basically what you have written is an article outlining why I watch Union and not league.
I watch Union and enjoy all its aspects.
I don’t watch league and haven’t for many years as I find it too predictable and one dimensional.
I used to play both games as a younger man but Union is the one for me and has been for a long time.

Rooster must remodel: Angus Crichton says he'd want to 'dominate' in rugby union - this is what he'd have to change

About Halfway 😂 😂
But then Adelaide is about half way to Perth isn’t it. 😂 😂 😂

PE backed consortium 'in final stages' to save Melbourne Rebels with $30m injection and link with A-League club

It is, but from what I’ve seen recently there, it wont be for long.

Not sure where you’re from Lr6050, but I live in Melbourne.
I don’t often get to that part, but was there recently and was amazed at what was happening.
The place is exploding with businesses and housing.
We’ll have to travel to get there but will most definitely do so.
It has to be one of the largest growth areas of the country.

Why change the name or colours.
They’re already known.
And RA didn’t initially want the name “Rebels”, more reason to keep it.

maybe its time RA fessed up to the mess they’ve made and take some responsibility.
Find someone who knows how to run a major sport and give up on the NSW old boys club

Hurricanes put half-century on Rebels in ugly scoreline for embattled Super Rugby franchise as injuries add up

he’s just another one of the media death riding the rebels.
I dont reckon anyone could have stopped that first half by the Hurricanes.
The Rebels didnt give up the fight, scored 4 tries all of which were converted by Carter Gordon who is supposedly, according to writers, a poor kick. I reckon he’ll become one of the better kickers in aus.
Maybe some honest writing of the dire state of the Waratahs finances would be good as well.
Well over the bias in rugby writing in aus.

Hurricanes put half-century on Rebels in ugly scoreline for embattled Super Rugby franchise as injuries add up

I wont be going.
Saw the last two Lions tour tests in Melbourne, both won by the Wallabies.
Have travelled to three world cups and lots of games at last world cup in Oz.
We have both been members of the Rebels since the start.
The debacle of the (wasted) year of eddie plus the level of disdain shown to the Rebels by RA and
pretty much all writers on this and other sites has almost done me.
And the Rebels aren’t the only ones in dire financial straits.
We really know nothing regarding both the Waratahs and Brumbies finances and what sort of mess they really are.
I still really enjoy watching the game and there are lots of competitions worldwide to watch.
But if RA think they’re ever gonna get anymore of my money then they can think again.
And yeah, i expect a lot of you will disagree with what I’ve said, but you know what, its taken me a long time to get to this point, so go your hardest.
Think water and ducks backs.
Goodbye

'We need to accelerate': Waugh admits RA behind schedule on Rebels future as tickets sold to ailing club's Lions clash

you could include the last two seasons totals of Tahs, Force and Brumbies in that.

'We need to accelerate': Waugh admits RA behind schedule on Rebels future as tickets sold to ailing club's Lions clash

I would say this,
The N.S.W. Waratahs play nowhere else but Sydney.
The Queensland Reds Play nowhere else but Brisbane.
The Western Force Play nowhere else but Perth.
And the A.C.T. Brumbies, well there is nowhere else for them to play.
And yes I’m aware that rare games have been played in other places. But rare.
And yes pretty much all teams play trials regionally.
I’ve even been to Hobart to watch a Rebels N.S.W. trial.
They could be called the Victorian Rebels but I reckon it would be as tokenistic as the names of the others.
And I seem to remember from dim dark days that the ARU ( at the time) didn’t want them to use the name “Rebels”. But it alludes to the Eureka Stockade which was in country Victoria,

RA's manic Monday and how it will shape the future of the Australian game

I was there with a plus one

'Reality check': Brumbies cop hiding from Chiefs in worst display ever under Larkham

Thanks for pointing that out carnivean, I have mistaken him for Tom Decent who does work for Age and SMH. Silly mistake on my part.
But I said nothing about a conspiracy and it wasnt implied. I simply wondered why no reporting of the Rebels game was forthcoming.
But The Age and SMH are basically the same organisation. It would be simple for it to provide some reporting of all games.

'Reality check': Brumbies cop hiding from Chiefs in worst display ever under Larkham

Yes, Melbourne does deserve a team.
Have you seen the size of crowds in say Canberra or sydney recently.
You could say the same about them.
Plus barely any promotion from Rugby Australia or Super Rugby for all games.
The casual punter would be lucky to know its on.
And there is plenty of support in Melbourne for rugby.
And some good junior programs underway

'Reality check': Brumbies cop hiding from Chiefs in worst display ever under Larkham

Thats irrelevant.
They both had wins.
Both should be reported

'Reality check': Brumbies cop hiding from Chiefs in worst display ever under Larkham

The Rebels had a good win on friday night. I was there.
Yet not a word about it in the Age or SMH.
And the Waratahs were “heroic” according to the article in both papers’
The Tahs did play well and deserved it and a mention in the news
So why nothing about the Rebels.
Serious question Christy, could you please answer it.

'Reality check': Brumbies cop hiding from Chiefs in worst display ever under Larkham

you can watch french top 14 on youtube.
Whole games or highlights
French commentary but I’m sure you know whats going on without being told

'Pissed off': Why Eddie snubbed Noah and the five-month stint in France that's changed his outlook

can we please stop hearing about this dude.
We went to France for the world cup, with the expectation that we should get out of the group but probably not past the quarters.
We were definitely not going to win despite what he who shall never be named again said.
But what we witnessed was a debacle of the highest order.
It was embarrassing to sit in the stands and every time his face appeared on the screen the boos were not deafening but close.
If there was a decent game plan i didnt see it and quite frankly if Portugal and Georgia had any decent level of competition, to give them a better level of game management etc, for a couple years they would’ve won their games. They really did push us.
That would’ve been four zip for us.
And don’t get me started on his handling of Carter Gordon.
Basically id really like to say F%%K OFF *ddi* and dont come back.
And take the supposed CEO or whatever he calls himself with you.
Apart from that we had a great time in France. Paris, Biarritz, Chateau D’Yquem, the Jura, Lake Geneva, Cave de Rousses and a few nice chateau stays so not all bad.
But Seriously go away Mr. Jones
The only way is up.
And very much looking forward to next year following our Rebels

'I am a better coach': Eddie's head-turning take, says several teams keen on him despite Wallabies flop

I’d be happy to see the back of Eddie. This tournament was a shambles. Change for the sake of change doesn’t work and the team was changed so often.
We came to France to watch and honestly we were lucky to win the two games we did. It was ultimately dispiriting to sit in the stands and watch a team seemingly without any coherence and a game plan so poor that we were pushed by supposed second tier teams. Then every time Eddie’s face was shown on the screen the boos were deafening.
We came never expecting us to win but at least make the quarters. So apart from the Rugby we’ve had a great time.
And lastly can I say, please no more overpriced and underperforming league players. I played league as well as Union as a young man and league is a completely different game now than when I played. It’s a game I no longer watch. Union is by far a more interesting game.

SPIRO ZAVOS: Eddie Jones' coaching flaw is his belief that rugby is the same game as league

Good.

Exclusive: Negotiations to lure NRL star to Wallabies fall over

All Blacks were mesmerising. But Italy were really never gonna win whoever talked em up.
But currently not getting as much attention is England. Look at the run they will have through to the final. They’ll play Fiji in the 1/4’s then maybe wales, Japan or Argentina in semis. They may sneak in without as many difficult games as those on the other side of the draw.
So I say, Go Fiji.

Mamma Mia! All Blacks almost hit a ton against Italy to make World Cup statement as Smith scores hat-trick

Am I wrong or are we
Still in 2nd place in the pool on points Difference.
Talking about Carter Gordon, it’s almost as
If the half back is ingoring him.
And his kicking at goal in the French game, even though he did miss they were by a whisker and one hit the post.
Our kicker tonight missed two that would’ve had us within a penalty of the lead. So I’m not sure what Eddie is doing. He says Gordon is best young 10 in Oz but does t seem to be treating him as such.

'Eddie got found out': Jones in spotlight as 'ferocious' Fiji leave Wallabies RWC hopes hanging by thread in 69 year first

Yep, that and the “this is personal” comment at half time show some immaturity I reckon.
Play your own game and if you’re good enough you’ll get selected for higher teams.
But it seems he reckons he should be selected rather than earning the spot by being the better player.

'It's a bit personal': Lolesio has the last laugh but Gordon shines as Brumbies hang on in epic showdown

I think Carter Gordon who’s playing pretty well and improving all the time might have something to say about stepping aside for Donaldson.

Rugby News: 'Two Wallabies in front of him' - Why Tah is mulling big money Scotland switch, key ABs re-sign

If your talking about the MCG, we’ve played the AB’s there 3 times.
Australia have one two of them.
I was at the game in 2007.
And I’ll be at the game this year.
