Consistency is a fallacy and is entirely unattainable. Every moment in a game is unique.

Consistency irrespective of who is playing.

So far this weekend at 10 for Oz teams. The young 10 that started for the Reds, Tom Lynagh next, Carter Gordon, Lolesio, Donaldson. Hope that Edmed goes well tonight.

I love how you manage to turn a comment about a back three with players from three different super teams into a Brumbies thing...

Touche.. agreed they are the 5th side in nz…saids where tahs and Brumbies are at the moment…but in fairness big drop below even highlanders for force and rebels…

Wow, did not expect that final score line when I tuned out at halftime, especially given the commentary on here regarding the Brums. Torn between watching the replay out of curiosity regarding the 2nd half and not bothering because it didn’t seem like a particularly good game… Hope whatever happened there is a catalyst for more consistent performances from the Brums. Fascinating season. Thanks for the call Steve!

Don’t think the Landers are overrated, by far the worst NZ team. Should never have let the Tahs get close enough to win it at the end last week. The Landers have a severe lack of depth and quality, as shown today.

I actually thought the Highlanders had rested (or an injury) to the Fijian winger they got to return from Moana Pasifika. Honestly I did not see T.Tavatavanawai at all until the 78th minute when they were setting a scrum and there he was in the background. One of those games where they just couldn't set their beast free at the intruders. :unhappy:

Important win for the Brumbies.

I don’t think on paper highlanders better side then brumbies so good to see the win…highlanders were lucky to win against the tahs last week with edmed missing some easy kicks. I personally think highlanders over rated.

In fairness reds have exceeded expectations…Brumbies on second half starting to click with new coaches and systems.. I would not write of brumbies as lot of talent in the side.

Well that was pleasing as kiwi commentators completely wrote off chances of brumbies winning (Jeff had 13+ win for highlanders) but given brumbies been slow out of blocks I was less confident of win when on paper should not be. Brumbies started off poor but then clicked back into brunbies of old to record deserved win. Good game…more of the same please.

Damn, I tipped on the basis the Brumbies were rubbish all year and Highlanders should wipe them. In the end, it's a fair result. The Brumbies improved and won over the 80 minutes and the Highlanders played well, were tough and got a point for their troubles. This was truely a game of two halves. - The 1st half the Brumbies were rubbish but the Highlanders fluffed their lines and didn't put the sword in too deep. Half time I reckon the Brumbies' players got a HUGE kick up the Khyber Pass and likely some brutal home-truths to certain players. That woke them up. - With this massive improvement in their attitude, the Brumbies-of-olde were just too much for the Highlanders, who lost a bit of steam in that 2nd half.

Australian teams need to work on the ground with the ball harder. A number of times the highlanders crawl or get dragged forward by team mates to promote quick ball. A number of times they managed to get an extra 3m after being tackled.

They don’t look as sharp as previous seasons but are what 3-1 with a win in NZ. So they’d have to be pleased. Credit to the replacement front row who dominated the critical last 15 mins, Toole taking his one chance, Noah’s goalkicking.

No, he was right. Because the ball had crossed the plane of touch, Ryan had to land in the field of play for the ball to stay live.

Pfft. Can't be a 7s player and be a "defensive liability". What is rubbish is the entire Brumbies defensive strategy - it ain't working! A better team (like the Chiefs) will put them away.
