Yes the strides made by Numia since he was a skinny bloke who couldn't scrum are very impressive. Certainly looks ready for the step up. I wonder whether the absence of Ardie has made the others take ownership.

I have only seen the highlights and heard some radio talkback. Sounds like the Hurricanes put in a great showing. They have been the surprise package this especially at set piece. What impressed me was their ability to offload and their support players were always in positions to receive the pass.

The simpler the design the better.

Agreed JD and also, I like the look of the Canes starting front-row - Numia, Aumua & Lomax - who simply destroyed the Chiefs, in that 1st 40. I thought O'Niell was a solid TH prop but Numia, just picked him up like a rag-doll, in those scrums. Dare I suggest if this form continues, then our incumbent AB LH props, could be in for an eye-opener. I look at Numia as being our version of Ian "Mighty-Mouse" McLauglin who played for Scotland and the BIL's back in the 70's. Congrats to the Canes - they didn't fold when the Chiefs came back early in the 2nd 40....in fact, they got better, with their bench changes. It will take some effort, if any opposition can find it, to upset these guys the way they're playing - it will be interesting to see where Laidlaw fits Ardie, into this mix when he returns but gee, what a dilemma for him.

It’s the worst kit I’ve ever seen. All these classic kits are horrid. Remember when you had adidas and a touch of class.

Mixed feelings here. Foot in both camps living in the Naki. Hurricanes deservedly winners I guess. Never seen Aumua play so well. Lomax is at another level in that scrum. Our starting front row tonight can mix it with anyone. Clark Laidlaw must be commended in building on what was already there raw material wise. Magic dust that laddie. The only thing that worries me is the knock-out nature of the knock-outs. If we can earn a home final our supporters will help with that I hope. Very happy camper I am!!????

Great win Canes, enjoyed that. Haven’t been given the credit they deserve by everyone this season, that may change now.

How have the canes improved without Ardie? They look slick

Enjoyed the way the ref let the game 'go' instead of being pedantic. But being pedantic, he allowed a Hurricanes player on the ground after a ruck pass the ball that led immediately to the second last try. If you are off your feet, you are out of the game.

Canes just have so many weapons – Aumua, Jordie, Naholo, Lomax, Love, the depth in the loosies – all used to good effect. Big momentum change was the kick ahead into the 22 when we were on top… Naholo cleaned up well, Kirifi and co came on, and we didn’t get a sniff after that. Congratulations Hurricanes, well deserved.

Well a good win by the Hurricanes. A bit messy at times, but a win nonetheless. Enjoy your weekend troops!

He's probably got one at home with 9 on the back so that might save a hundred dollars.
