Moana Pasifika and the Brumbies meet at Mt Smart Stadium in the final round of Super Rugby Pacific before finals. Join The Roar for live scores from 5:05pm AEST.

The Brumbies can still finish in second on the ladder, but they could also slip to fourth if they lose to Moana and the Chiefs beat Fijian Drua.

The Brumbies can finish no lower than fourth, though, so a home final is secure. If third, they will face the sixth placed team – currently the Waratahs, although the Reds and Hurricanes could also finish there.

It should be an straight forward task this evening and the most likely scenario is the Brumbies stay in third on the ladder.

Moana have shown glimpses of great play all season. The hardest part has been the second half and being able to keep up the intensity for 80 minutes.

Perhaps, with only one game remaining the side can push through the pain barrier in today’s match and finish on a high.

Nah getting kicked out in the quarters anyway, despite playing a more beatable team, will be worse.

Nah, 17-20 by the ‘title contenders” against Blues B definitely suggests they feel worse.

Brumbies really had nothing to play for but that was not a good effort.

Say the Brumbies have made sure they are not playing an Oz team.

” Brumbies have a home quarter-final, but a drop to fourth means the slim chance of a home semi, should they progress, is all but gone , which in itself may now be tougher. They will take on either the Hurricanes or Waratahs depending on the final washup later this evening.” Credit Stuff.co.nz paraphrased

I dare say the Brumbies will be feeling worse about playing the Hurricanes.

Thanks KH. I wonder if they should play them in closer succession. Don't want to let the viewer get distracted by some other entertainment.

I think it’s all about respecting your opposition, the Brumbies didn’t look switched on and appeared to think it would be a stroll in the park.. that’s why they were so shell shocked and couldn’t wrestle back the momentum. A good lesson learnt, if they learn it.
