Moana Pasifika welcome hot favourites the Hurricanes to Auckland in round five. Join The Roar for live scores from 5:05pm (AEDT).
The Hurricanes will be missing rested All Blacks Jordie Barrett, Dane Coles and Tyrel Lomax. Also rested are James Blackwell and Du’Plessis Kirifi, while winger Kini Naholo replaces Julian Savea in the starting XV. Naholo scored two tries in the win over the Tahs last week.
Billy Proctor starts at No.12 and Bailyn Sullivan gets his first start at No.13.
The return of Owen Franks offsets the loss of Lomax, while another former All Black, Dom Bird, makes his first start for the Hurricanes at lock after debuting off the bench against the Waratahs. Young gun Peter Lakai replaces Kirifi at openside flanker.

Cam Roigard is playing his way into an AB spot here. Really good player. If he keeps going like he’ll be above Christie by the end of the Super season. Brett Cameron is also playing very well. He looked one of the only competent players for a dreadful Manawatu side, and he seems to be rolling that into this level now. Great goal kicker too. Between Cameron, Morgan, Sullivan and Love maybe the cupboard won’t be that bare at 10 next year.

Cam Roigard.. This guy should make the ABs, he’s one of the best halfbacks in NZ, pushing A Smiths level. He’s solid, fast, elusive. Seems to be getting better and better

Hurricanes with a point to prove this year after getting pantsed last year. A big gulf between the best and the rest this season…

Thoughts on the ref?

He did very well imo. Don't think there were any contentious decisions, TMO hardly used. Just a pity about the result, expected much more from MP.

Nobody could say that was a good game. MP really behind other teams.

Never good to watch a soul destroying performance like this. Outclassed at the scrum, defence in tatters, no possession, dropped ball. Moana looks out of place in this game.

Cracking player he is, very welcome back into the Canes I’d say

It's gone training ground. Interesting dynamics all round the comp. NZ teams. Chiefs and Canes have gone up a notch and Saders and Blues down. Aus teams. Brumbies have rised above everyone. Rebels improved. Reds and Tahs down a notch. Force jury out. Fiji and Moana looked to have improved till this week.

Hurricanes destroying MP. Sad - One sided games aren't always enjoyable

The last few minutes have been sad to watch. Moana lads dropping off tackles left right and centre.
