The Queensland Reds finish off the Super Rugby Pacfic weekend when they host the dangerous Fijian Drua on Sunday afternoon. Join The Roar for live scores and rolling coverage from 4pm (AEDT).

The Reds have made three changes to their starting XV to face the Drua in their first game at Suncorp this season.

James O’Connor is back in the No.10 jersey after a successful comeback from injury via the bench behind Tom Lynagh, while Taj Annan will make his first Super Rugby start at inside centre.

Jock Campbell is named at fullback, with Jordie Petaia going to the wing and Suli Vunivalu to the bench.

Annan will pair with Josh Flook in the centres after Hunter Paisami was ruled out with concussion.

Co-captain Tate McDermott and James O’Connor will reprise their partnership in the halves, while fellow skipper Liam Wright, Fraser McReight and Harry Wilson make for a settled backrow trio.

Dane Zander, Matt Faessler and Zane Nonggorr start in the front row.

Fiji coach Mick Byrne has stuck with the 23 who triumphed against the Crusaders last week, although has changed up his starting XV.

Meli Tuni starts again at loosehead prop, while Samuela Tawake starts at tighthead. Tevita Ikanivere completes the front row at hooker.

Te Ahiwaru Cirikidaveta is back in the starting 15, but this time at lock to partner Isoa Nasilasila. Last week’s Player of the Match Joseva Tamani retains his spot at blindside flanker opposite the impressive Kitione Salawa. Club captain Meli Derenalagi starts for the first time this season at Number 8.

The halves are retained with Frank Lomani at halfback and Teti Tela at flyhalf.

It’s the same back three from last week, with Eroni Sau and Selestino Ravutaumada on the left and right wings, with Ilaisa Droasese at fullback.

“ Take the points. Go again next week.” If you’re a QLD fan only, that might be what you do. But any WBAAS# watching that game would’ve felt faint hope. Flook Lynaugh and Wright might grow into Eddie fodder. Wilson puts in a big effort, but he still looks like the big kid in the U/12s to me. Expecting his size and appetite for straight barging to do the trick. An international backrower needs more tricks (or a crafty coach who can chime him into a compelling combo). But not seeing that yet. The mistake count in that first half would’ve seen dark marks on Eddie’s twitter sheet. # WBAAS Wallaby Amateur Armchair Selector

Did you just say Gleason is doing the little thing right. Sure he is for the 10 minutes he is actually playing. How about he hits a dozen more rucks and mauls, makes some turnovers and about 9 more tackles before we start getting excited. He also reminds me of Nella. The guy has a huge impact when he gets in and gets work done, but those monents are limited by poor cardio

Bigger bodies players are now taking up the "jackle" role via defensive patterns design to isolate players. Almost feels like the hooker is the new 7.

The difference between a player missing a tackle and a player known for missing tackles.... something people not new to rugby know.....

Those teams have put in competitive performance against NZ teams... something the Reds have not done in years.

He sprinted 40 metres after a intercept to score a try in the 78th minute and no backs got close to him? I would call that great fitness after a tough encounter where he was one of the Waratahs' best forwards in a losing pack.

Wizz you are correct about Pack..How individuals perform is less important then how they perform as a Pack.

JOC may have stretched his career expectation a tad too long. Hope he proves me wrong, but he lacked a lot of zip in that game. McDermott Flook and Uru looked ok. Wilson did a ton of work in the second half, but his first half was u/10s level mistakes.
