It’s last year’s wooden spooners, the Adelaide Crows, going up against the losing grand finalists in the Geelong Cats as Round 1 continues. Stay up to date with their AFL clash with live scores on The Roar from 4:35pm (AEDT).
It was a season to forget last year for Adelaide, but some strong form to finish things off and the progression of some youngsters has them optimistic they can get themselves out of the bottom four in 2021. Matthew Nicks will be hoping his second year in charge of the Crows starts off much better than his first – although they face a very tough test first up.
Geelong were again one of the best sides all season last year but, although they were able to crack their preliminary final hoodoo, they were ultimately no match for Richmond in the decider. In the offseason, they went out and added several big names to bolster their chances of saluting and clearly have one objective on their mind – winning the flag. Nothing else will do in 2021.
The Cats got up by 28 points when these sides met last season – their third win in a row against the Crows. Geelong have alternated wins and losses in their last seven visits to the Adelaide Oval and, if the trend continues, are due for a win.

Perth got smashed in a scratchie last week...by the 2021 return of the Peel Dockers! (weren't allowed Freo players last year, went back to being useless!)

There once was a fella called Danger Whose action erupted with anger He took a cheap shot But we know he'll get off He'll get a tribunal arranger

Only watched the first half, as I had something on. Lucky. Very disappointing. Your boy’s threatened last year and followed through this year. Well done, good plan endeavour and delivery. Even the space ranger best game in four years. Four goals at the half. No excuses for the Cats. Big home town support and some interesting umpiring (as you would expect with Razor). You have to win them.
You could mention something like - the crows pressure has been fantastic?
Chose to bump - must get two weeks

Josh Treacy kicked 7 for Peel against last year's Grand Finalist. 1der, you need to know something about the sides to have something worth saying. When his 2 week suspension finishes after 5 weeks, you'll have more information.

After the Freo game and the games so far, I'd have Melbourne and Freo ahead of Adelaide, Geelong, Bullies, Carlton, Pies, Tiges, Swans, Brissy...who have I left out?

I have 6 sides i rate and don't bother ranking them as I don't have ability to foresee injuries that will decide finishing positions.

Could the game be passing by Joel Selwood? Leg speed a real issue.

I would say many worries for the Cats as you have just now stated that they've dropped from a Top 2 side to Top 6. Before too long they may just be only a Top 10 side.

Geelong appear to be suffering from Runners Up Syndrome. Also, maybe Dad's Army should have invested in youth like Adelaide have.
