A twilight special takes place in the city of churches this afternoon, with the Adelaide Crows playing host to the Richmond Tigers. Join The Roar for live scores, coverage and analysis from 4:35pm (AEST).

Both teams are placed in the middle of the AFL ladder, with Richmond having the most success in this fixture over the past couple of seasons.

Last week’s game against Essendon was stolen from the Crows in the dying minutes of the match, with Sam Draper kicking the sealer to sink the visitors. Adelaide were chasing on the scoreboard for 90 per cent of the game, but stayed in touch with the Bombers throughout the match.

Rory Laird continued his dominance in the midfield with 38 disposals and 8 clearances. Ben Keays is one of the most underrated inside-midfielders in the competition, with an absolutely dominating display of offence and defence. His output included 39 pressure acts, 27 disposals, 12 tackles, five clearances and a goal.

In the forward line, Taylor Walker marked his return to the side with four goals, and young gun Josh Rachele, was not too far behind him with three of his own.

Richmond dominated the Bulldogs from start to finish last week. During the opening quarter, they trailed on the scoreboard, but the Bulldogs were disappointing in front of goal and the Tigers made the most of their chances to run away with it in the second half.

Jayden Short continued his dominance off half-back, amassing 35 disposals (including 29 kicks) and 810m gained for the match. Dion Prestia picked up where he left off on return from a hamstring injury with 30 disposals, 7 marks and 3 tackles. These two are vital to Richmond’s success this year with the absence of a number of champion players.

Tom Lynch and Shai Bolton continue to get it done in front of goal. I also wanted to give an honourable mention to Jack Riewoldt and his torpedo punt goal after the three-quarter time siren.

Prediction

I think with the inclusion of Vlaustin and the dominance the Tigers showed last week, they will win this one by 13 points.

"Maybe the 8 is set for the year! – Finishing down the ladder means better draft picks! " There's always a positive! Good luck to the Tigers this week.

Well, I might get a word in! Looks like plenty of people lining up with interest for a Tigers game - more so then for their own team! You know your successful when that is the case! A couple of thoughts from a Tigers perspective: - What’s predictable about this season is that it is unpredictable. - Crows we’re the better team on the day - 20 free kick deficit would make it hard for the Dees to win a game. - Positive to see the VFL beat the undefeated Blues by 4 goals. - Lambert comes back next week - 2 & 3, it’s round 5! - Maybe the 8 is set for the year! - Finishing down the ladder means better draft picks! - SOS Dusty - Walker keep your elbows in, Cotchin not a criminal - Boys and Girls - you can’t take away the 3 Cups, Norm Smiths and a Brownlow - Stop crying 1 dog Kemp, you can’t reverse the 5 wooden spoons, they’re yours to keep, part of the 25 years of highlights! - Next challenge - Bring on the Dees!

Fair enough. Mind you people make mistakes. And we have to give them a chance to learn from it.

They are a modern day great team. People are usually slow to see their demise for what it is. The same was true for the others.
