Essendon will send off fan favourite Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti at the MCG as they take on Collingwood. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:50pm (AEST).
Having spent much of the season in the VFL after coming out of retirement for 2023, McDonald-Tipungwuti will start as the sub on Friday night for one last game.
With the Bombers missing a number of key players including Sam Draper, Peter Wright and Jake Stringer, their task is made all the tougher by the return of Pies’ pair Jordan De Goey and Bobby Hill, as well as facing a team desperate to seal up the minor premiership heading into the finals.

That makes no sense

At least Collingwood have kept on par with their average 66 turnovers/game this season. They lost the hitouts but they did have 10 bounces... And weirdly enough, both had 14 marks inside 50.

A truly terrible last 3 qtrs as a game. Even the 1st qtr was a training run. A suitable run in to a game against Melbourne?

So Collingwood have let through 16 scores and only inaccuracy has kept the Bombers from mounting a challenge? Nah. Both sides have played very badly. Just that Essendon have played worse.

That's the rule this week

So we review when it’s 10 goals the difference but not 2 points

Freo used to have scores like Essendon have tonight. Gotta admit, it's pretty funny when it's not your team.

Ablett Jnr at his peak was the best midfielder that I have ever seen. Pendlebury is definitely up there with the best though.

The initial thread was midfielders although I referenced Lynch with regard to players changing clubs. Franklin has a premiership under his belt and would be be the premier forward of the 2000's.
