Hard to play a professional game of footy at a country park, so Swans did ok to win that. But WCE were far from useless, hopefully that game gives them a path back. The competition needs a strong eagles

Forget ladder position or percentage. The true barometer for how West Coast are going is the no of posts by Tigers supporters – seems to be an inverse relationship.

Thanks. Abetted by the Swans being quite rusty but from the snippets I saw we tried to put pressure on the ball (not a trademark Eagles trait) but were cruelled by crucial skill errors.

Although I read that a Richmond side that has to travel interstate three times in five games and has lots of injuries might be vulnerable to the Eagles. Allen,Flynn, Maric,Ryan and Edwards missing is more the point.

Yep even though it’s an honorable loss it’s far better than the debacle last year against the Swans. I’m a Swans supporter but I don’t want to see that. I be watched a lot of people pay out on the Eagles lately but it’s not cool. All clubs have down times

That's the hope. Honourable losses are wins at this stage. Hopefully Allen and Ryan and Culley return to give us some options later in the season. Maric and Edwards look pretty banged up though

Richmond are miles ahead of West Coast

I think it did - you should be happy with that. For the first half were the better team and looked far more competitive across the whole game - and you’ve got a kid called Reid who is a star.

No idea I was checking the phone surreptitiously

I’m at the game, and it is the second time I have seen West Coast live this year. It’s disappointing that this club couldn’t maintain their first half form. Sydney certainly have not performed well today but they have done enough. West Coast have once again capitulated. Even a rebuilding club like Richmond were able to put 4 quarters together last week and knock Sydney off.

A lot to like about the Eagles today Nics. They now need to bring that pressure every week. Based on that effort they will get wins

Couldn't see the game. Did losing Maric and Edwards affect the second half?

On the bright side there is finally some light at the end of the tunnel for weagles fans. They will win a few games this year if they can sustain it.

Just confirms the swans are not a top 4 contender :silly:

Well played swans. The Eagles will take that, the blight that we are.
