The AFL have two true game turners Petracca and Bonts, big bodied machines with a mix of skill and raw strength, for me they have no equal. In a previous life you could probably add dangerfield and Fyfe. As much as Heeney is leading the votes and playing unreal football people his size just can’t do the same thing. I think the same could be said for a dusty, great and bigger than a Heeney size but still can not compare to Bonts and Petracca.

Footy Fix: The Dees have a massive Christian Petracca problem - there's only one of him

Junk

The crows are the best in the comp for losing on umpires calls at the last minute, they have no equal

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Round 9: Has Bevo just arrived at the last chance saloon?

Don I feel you may be drinking the Freeo kool aid, the Swans are pretty good so interesting to see if Freeo can stay with them : I say Swans comfortably I have no doubt you will agree

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Round 9: Has Bevo just arrived at the last chance saloon?

Agree except:

Hawks to win and Melbourne as well, I still have Melbourne in the GF and can Adelaide do it again or have they played their best game?

Bevo is an employee who is receiving reviews saying his performance is not up to scratch, the feedback is coming from customers (fans). The outcomes are improve the results or you will be performance managed. It’s a tough job and great men realise when their time has passed and they are no longer up for the job, could be the case here. Sure he is a nice bloke but that’s not in his KPI’s but he is not alone so throw in a Hinkley, Fagan and Hardwick. It’s not nasty its just time.

I agree logan mcdonald is not horrible but there certainly is better, like the Carlton forwards. Warner is brilliant but let’s see if he can turn into a Parker who does the same very week year on year, never hot and cold but always great. And agree with .kraM you probably won’t get either.

You are correct on that, it’s the missing piece for Carlton, their talls are best of breed but their on balls are good but none are great. They need a couple of Daicos’s or a libba or a heeney

Footy Fix: Bad blunders, unsung heroes and THAT Nick Daicos moment - the 232-second story of another Pies-Blues classic

Don

Funny you should mentioned that Don, I thought the umpiring was evenish, but no holding the ball was paid, don’t know if that was deliberate but very noticable

AFL News: League blocks Carey's NSW Hall of Fame Legend nod, Hinkley's brutal admission on skipper's selection

Can’t disagree, Hinkley is plum out of tricks. I think Port is a more polished team than the Crows but they are not a polished team compare to the top 3 teams. Crows just had a red hot go and ran like a team, Port seems to focus on a few champions and lacked an overall team plan.

Funny you should say that I had Hawks as a tip to beat the Swans last week, did not realise they were that bad or Swans that good, not sure.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Round 8: Showdowns, QClashes and blockbusters galore - but who wins?

You would have to bet on Port but the Crows are not as bad as they play (coach) and like most south aussies they would hate Port so they seem to bring something to these games. Guts beats skill any day, so if they lay some hard body on Ports running young dudes they will win,

I would put Tex on Rozee

Could be a lot of egg on faces sunday night as many of the flag favourites meet some real opposition. Here is my top predictions so if you bet go the opposite.

Crows
Carlton
Swans
Melbourne
Suns

Jimmy you have a point, not a lot of diversity in the Australian team, although they are now including people from SA so a step forward.

The AFL is becoming more diverse thanks to the rise of players with multicultural backgrounds - but more should be done

Fair points, details were never my strong point

AFL News: 'Given it my all' - Crows great announces retirement, big-money Blue 'not hard enough'

Seriously what a croc, the AFL is highly inclusive and encourages anyone and everyone to play and have overseas scouts hunting for new talent. They run Auskick in most schools and there are local comps if you look, at what point does it sit with the individual to actually ask to play.

Rowdy

Please never mention Tippet again it causes me anxiety, I think the Swans lost Mumford and NANKERVIS in that deal and he was poor at best, but at least he was not hot and cold he was always just like crap.

AFL News: 'Given it my all' - Crows great announces retirement, big-money Blue 'not hard enough'

I thought Sloane would play a couple of years and move on but he stayed the course, great to see. Also the thing about Dangerfield at Adelaide even in his last game when it counted for nothing he still put his head in the pack and gave 150%, it’s in his nature, don’t think you could say the same for Lever in his last game.

AFL News: 'Given it my all' - Crows great announces retirement, big-money Blue 'not hard enough'

Blues should have won that, although their forward line is full of talls lobbing the ball into a Geelong backline is just dumb. If the ball comes in low and fast Geelong have problems, blues can do better. Geelong v GWS is the game I want to see

Footy Fix: The Cats are inevitable - and they're smarter, clutcher, quicker, and scarier than ever

Don

Should you not have needed to win to say that?

Forget Cripps, Curnow and Walsh - the unsung Blues heroes driving Carlton's premiership push

The only way to beat Carlton is to deny them the ball, if you go man on man with their talls you will get slaughtered. I look forward to seeing if the Swans can do that, we have no backs that can compete with their forwards and if their forwards are not in the game they have a tendency to wander down field to get in the game. Dees could trouble them as well and I think they match extremely well against Geelong. They are the real deal.

Billy

I still have Melbourne pencilled in for a secret flag attempt

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Anzac Round: Who takes the biscuits on the season's longest weekend?

NH

Agree, Anzac tradition actually means VFL tradition. Should be one game per state so four games, top state team gets the honours based on how they finished last year
