Collingwood has been allowed to fly in and out for their match at Adelaide despite Melbourne’s ongoing lockdown. As the SA government works through the protocols one particular piece of advice for fans at the Adelaide Oval raised plenty of eyebrows.
Actually, what's included here is not the funniest bit, there was one part where why referred to sweaty footballers, and to sanitise your hands before eating chips (if the chips are hot, will that kill the virus that may have been transmitted from sweaty footballer to the ball?)
I couldn’t care less about the ball, or her comment.
I’m simple saying it’s sound advice and a pathetic title.
It’s even more pathetic that the news is blowing it up.

Suppose there’s no use telling us about the 3 second rule dropping your four and twenty picking it up scoffing it down????????
It’s called risk mitigation, Ben.
It’s not that hard to not touch the Sherrin. It really isn’t.
You making light of the situation with a hyperbole headline does not help.
Doc as a complete layman my entertainment is listening to ppl like Kane Cornes express medical advice to the the CMO in each state these last 18 months ;)
Educated person who's job is to be concerned for the health of the sa population during a pandemic or non medical opinion in the sports journalism field.....hmmmm dunno which one is more sound
Bizarre because AFL players are tested more than any other group (outside of hotel quarantine workers) in Australia. If the CMO is saying it's a risk (albeit a tiny risk) to get covid from catching a ball after touching these players then there shouldn't be crowds at all.

Well she did admit she didn't know much about footy. When health and sport collide eh.

I’m not sure how that is bizarre advice. Bizarre headline, perhaps.
