Please, are you joking? England would never drop Stokes from their ODI team if available- let’s compare their records:
Stokes
Batting- Avg 40.63, SR 93.94
Bowling- Avg 41.71, 6.01, SR 41.6
Marsh
Batting- Avg 34.36, SR 90.37
Bowling- Avg 36.79, 5.55, SR 39.7
So, Stokes wins the batting (but both have good figures for all-rounders) and Marsh wins the bowling. Basically, your argument has zero merit and your letting your bias cloud your judgement. Both teams should be (and are) pretty happy with their medium-pace all-rounders.
Please are you joking? His one day form isn't good enough and he only performs because he never gets dropped. Seriously he gets to play every single game and it's a disgrace, maybe in 20/20 cricket he's good I don't watch it that format but definitely not ODI. I would rather see Green in the side from Western Australia getting exposure to One Day International cricket, at least he has potential of being a great Test cricketer
What a pathetic comment. Have a look at his career figures in ODI’s and his form for the Scorchers. You’re equating his lack of Test success with his ability and results in the shorter formats, and they are nothing alike.
In Marsh we trust? Are you joking? Who gave Marsh a contract, when his domestic form is a joke. It's so biased that he doesn't perform well domestically but keeps playing for Australia. Marsh has the worst International record in existence. Please God stop selecting him

He's an ok ODI batsman, his bowling is almost non existent these days, so he cant really justify a No.6 spot with a 35 batting average. ODI team really only has 2 batting spots open, No.5/No.6 and a keeping position, with Carey on thin ice it seems. So many better options in domestic cricket than Mitch Marsh...imagine Chris Lynn at No.6? Destructive
I'd have thought an ODI batting average of 35 at a strike rate of 92, and a bowling average of 35 at an economy of 5.5, would be more likely to keep him in the ODI team for the next 10 games than one decent T20 knock... but who knows?
Such fine lines in T20 cricket often leaves a lot of ifs and buts when looking back. I don't nessecarily buy the 'rusty' angle. Australia were lightning in the field, took pretty much every chance they had, bowled pretty well and apart from Smith and Maxwell they scored some good runs. Truth is in just 20 overs with two evenly matched sides it doesn't take much to look a fool one minute and a hero the next. Mitch Marsh has had his fair share of that over the years.
Disagree. I’m definitely glass half full on this one. We were in a winning position in the first game and won the third. They had guys out but were playing at home and had a much better lead up with series against Ireland and Pakistan. It was Australia’s first series in 6 months. I agree there’s still issues in the middle order however hopefully a few (one in particular) can follow Marsh’s example, check their ego at the door, and do what’s required to get the result. That’s what should have happened in the first game, and then we’d be taking about a series win away from home after a 6 month layoff.
Huh? So we should get rid of the only middle order batsman in the whole series that actually did his job and guided his team victory with a well constructed innings. Yeh, that makes sense. Or should he have followed Maxwells lead and thrown his wicket away twice when his team was in a winning position?

Oh god, just think what this means for Mitch Marsh selection claims, a run a ball 39* will give him another 10 games in the ODI team and at least a foot in the door till the t20 world cup next year. Why are they still carting out this failure at international cricket when you have guys like Labuschagne on the sidelines......telling me Stoinis/Maxwell cant make up the overs of a 5 bowler between them?
"Mitch keeps Australia at the top of the T20 rankings".
A bit of a hollow claim I'd have thought, given we played what was not far from an England second XI, when we'd already lost the series against a team without at least 3 regulars.
Still, I'm sure Langer & Finch will take it, though they must know we've got a ton of work to do in that middle order batting.

He’s just saved our bacon in two consecutive games, I guess you must be trusting Dan quite a bit now.

I trust Marsh with a bat in his hand about as much as I trust Dan Andrews to quarantine a hotel :(

Yes Paul I agree, Its a little ambitious to proclaim that Marsh is the answer to Australia's middle order problems after one innings of 39.
