Finals are on the line for the Canberra Raiders and St George Illawarra Dragons as they take to the Gold Coast in what looms as an elimination final. Keep in touch with the action from Cbus Super Stadium with live scores on The Roar from 6pm (AEST).

The Raiders’ sparkling recent form came to a crashing halt in Round 20 with a 34-24 loss to the Knights. After three consecutive wins appeared to have restored the Canberra of old, a horror first 18 minutes in which they conceded three tries is proof Ricky Stuart’s men are still far from their best.

Ryan Sutton’s return at lock should give the Raiders a badly needed injection of some steel, with Hudson Young shifting up to the second row and Corey Harawira-Naera shuffling to the bench.

The loss of talismanic captain Ben Hunt for a month with a broken arm is disaster for the Dragons – they can ill afford to be without their skipper in the race to finals. While they did go 2-2 in the month without Hunt earlier in the season after his broken leg, you suspect they’ll have to better that to leapfrog one of the Titans and Sharks into the eight.

The Dragons’ final month are as brutal as they come, facing the Panthers, Roosters and Rabbitohs; so a loss here would just about consign them to a summer of soul-searching.

Thanks DPS - not much of a game - the Raiders just a little less stinky than the Dragons

Didn't see the game Andrew, were Saints that bad. Griffin probably won't drop Norman, Hook comes across to me as being very pigheaded.

I'll be happy when the season is over. The season was well and truly cooked at Vaughan's bbq party.

So hook clearly has a KPI tied to a bonus in regards to making the finals. Now that isn’t happening can he please just start playing a squad that will put them in a better position come round 1 2022?

Sorry DP. Thought your season would be better than it has turned out to be. On the bright side you must be well into your second bottle of scotch.

That’ll do me. Season well & truely over. Drop Norman, put Bird back to Centre & play Sullivan & Sloan for the remainder of the season. Experience will help us next year. 2020 is done & dusted.

A miserable low class game befitting the two combatants . Neither of these two will cause any bother to the top tier teams.

Nobody has a liver that strong. Just wait until Ennis starts up saying players are “fatigued” about three minutes into every game.
