The season for the South Sydney Rabbitohs doesn’t get any easier in ANZAC Round, taking on the Melbourne Storm tonight at AAMI Park. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 7:50pm (AEST).
Whilst the Storm are probably still not playing to their best, they continue to chalk up the wins. The Rabbitohs haven’t been able to do the same, and will need to overcome recent history to record a win in Melbourne tonight.
Craig Bellamy’s side is unchanged, although Nelson Asofa-Solomona is listed in the 8 jumper and may swap places with Christian Welch before kick off..
Rabbitohs prop Tevita Tatola is facing 12 weeks on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on a fractured foot while winger Tyrone Munro is also out long term, due to surgery to repair his fractured collarbone. But they are boosted by Jai Arrow making his first appearance since suffering shoulder damage in Las Vegas and the recall of Damien Cook to the starting side.
Sadly for the Rabbitohs, I think their struggles will continue. Storm by 14

Yeah, you guys are the best! Might I commend your emoji use. Very convincing.

Gray wasn’t great under the high ball. So that goes with what you say about him. He was definitely a threat most of the time when running the ball.

21 premierships! I'll take that. Losing a GF 30-6, how shameful. A NSW Cup side could have done better. What a wasted season that was for the Dogs. Ending up as Rabbitohs roadkill!

You've won one in 53 years. Dogs have six. I'll take that.

The Dogs last premiership win was when? When was their last GF? And who beat them? 30-6 ring any bells genius?

Yeah, the Bunnies are going heaps better than the Dogs right now.

In cases where an action is considered deliberate, I believe that the punishment should always exceed the worst possible outcomes from the crime. So if this was deliberate we need to consider the worst outcome to Munster and ensure that the punishment exceeds that. If that justifies a lifetime ban then go for it. The biggest reason why we have so many problems in society is because we are way to soft on issues that really matter. Lets start by making a statement on the footy field.

They were like a hapless, helpless water buffalo stuck in the mud just waiting for the safari to come along and put them out of their misery. Thanks, Roy, thanks HG.

Good player, just needs to be better defensively. To be fair, Wighton is a handful.

Souths had a small chance to turn things around by sacking Demetriou after their last loss and bringing in an interim coach with the bye to give them 2 weeks to prepare the team. Now, with the Panthers next week and Cleary back, Souths season is over! And CEO Solly, the Rabbitohs board and chairman Nick Pappas are all to blame.

I'd support a lifetime ban. Let's get it done!

Heads up Souths supporters, you scored 20 points against a team that probably beats most international teams. Missing Graham, Mitchell, Johnson, Ilias, Tatola etc and young guys in spine positions.

Thanks for following the blog tonight. I will be back this time tomorrow for the Sea Eagles and Eels in another game when the away coach is under a lot of pressure

Almost the perfect result for Bellamy, win well but still have plenty of ammo to fire at the team in the review and on the track

I don't know where this leaves the Rabbitohs. They are not defending mistakes and any thoughts of finals football probably goes tonight. Where does this leave Demetriou? Unfortunately, for him, he may not see the next week out. They play the Panthers next Thursday night at Accor

The Cameron Munster show was very good tonight. When on song, he is one hell of a player. Not much can be said for Souths except for about 10 minutes in the 2nd half.
