NRL’s Anzac Round kicks off with premiers Penrith Panthers travelling to Sydney Olympic Park to take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 7.50pm AEST.
The Rabbitohs are high on confidence, scoring 84 points in their past two games en route to consecutive thrashings over the Dogs and Dolphins.
But they come up against the Panthers, who do not concede tries so easily even in what has been a season below par for them so far. Michael Chee Kam and Izaac Thompson return to the side, boosting the Rabbitohs chances of a victory.
After a get out of jail victory against the Knights, the Panthers will be aiming to get back to getting the basics right and dominate the opposition. Scott Sorensen is back in the starting lineup as Liam Martin is out due to a hamstring complaint, with Lindsay Smith being promoted to the bench.
While the Rabbitohs are back to their best attacking wise, their kryptonite tends to be the Panthers over the past few years. The Panthers rarely put in two poor performances in a row, especially when they have to take on the Rabbitohs. Expect the Panthers to come out firing and test the Rabbitohs resilience. Panthers by 8.

I haven't been into the Cas in years. Rum bar, lounge seating, huge screens and a little black jack... What's not to love!

Win just enough to cover the rums. :stoked:

If you'd taken the early penalty you may have not needed that final try....

I wouldn't be spruking that out in #27 territory. Their fans already have them locked in for the 3peat. They are still strong $3.60 favourites, but as the rest of us have seen this year, they are not invincible anymore.

Long season Arnab and there aren’t any other teams really jumping out and taking off!

I cant imagine living through a war, let alone a POW. That would have been profound visiting the memorial and acknowledging the locals. Lest We Forget.

Yes GB, I'm renting a difibulator for the next one, that was not good for my blood pressure and heart. Tass had a real shocker imo and he didn't only miss that tackle on Crichton before the 1st half ended, but he missed tackles on Crichton some other times and allowed allot of breaks on his side in the 2nd half. Graham needs a good partner that has class and can do more than Tass, Jack W would be perfect, its like Penrith Crichton does everything for them as he's been helped by To'o and he's #3, that is why he scores so many tries.

Something to do with being a tribute to the Royal Australian Navy Submarine Service. Maybe a nod to their uniform? Just speculation on my part.

Bloody horrible pass below the knees but at least Cody didn’t pass it to a Panthers player this time. LOL.
