The Tigers return to Campbelltown for the first time this season to host the Dragons, with both teams desperate to regain some momentum after defeats last week. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 4:05pm (AEST).

Despite both these teams sitting outside the eight currently, fans of the Tigers and Dragons have seen some green shoots so far this season.

Justin Matamua and Jake Simpkin should make their first appearances of the year for the Tigers off the bench as Benji Marshall opts for only enforced changes to his side, with John Bateman and Samuela Fainu under head-knock protocols and Latu Fainu out with a hamstring issue.

For the Dragons, Hame Sele is back, while Shane Flanagan has resisted the urge to move Tyrell Sloan away from fullback, with Zac Lomax again named on the wing.

Prediction

There is nothing much in this but the Tigers may have a slight edge in class. Tigers by 4

Ravalawa knocked on but he regathered, and the ball did not hit the ground or an opposing player.

I’ve just watched this try again on the highlights package. Niiiice play Api, and nice hole running from the Tigers forward Utoikamanu who never gave up on the short ball play even when the entire StG defence had.

If only he put that much energy into his hit ups.

Yes! But so is Parra and apparently that translates to the coach’s job being at risk.

The Tigers were far from their best today. The attack was too side to side and the Dragons defence could slide across with no issues. Benji Marshall will know its a long haul for his team but it remains a disappointing effort. The Tigers take on the Panthers next weekend in Bathurst

Dragons breathing fire. Tigers, a rug in the Dragons den. Bunnies still down a very deep hole.

The Dragons weren’t perfect tonight but didn’t really give the Tigers a sniff. Shane Flanagan is more than happy to come away with a gritty win and that’s what they did. Jacob Liddle had one of his better games for the Dragons whilst Zac Lomax’s great form continues. They next play the Warriors at Wollongong next Friday night

Maybe we've had so many great games this season that the bar is now set pretty high. Or maybe I should just accept the fact that I'm a sore lover.
