Craig Bellamy's fury over 'miscommunication' with staff before halftime

By The Roar / Editor

Despite the Storm holding a big halftime lead, Craig Bellamy was still demanding the most from everyone.

Part of the entertainment factor when the Storm are involved ,is watching Bellamy demonstrate the gentle art of coach box rioting. My hearing's not the best, too many years of loud R&R music, but watching Tv,I can lip read just about every one of Bellyache's Academy award winning diatribes. The use of the letter F is let us say rather overdone. I do believe a windscreen wiper needs to be installed, in his Melbourne coaches box or a giant size spittoon.

This just seems over the top and not a good look at all. Screaming at Hoffman and the other assistant for a communications breakdown just doesn't make sense especially as the team was up 22-0 at the time. and it didn't seem to cost them anything Seriously needs to get a grip. I think this Finals series seems to be getting to him a lot more than previous ones, maybe that loss to the Raiders cut deep. That can't be good for staff morale at all.

In any other work place that would be bullying.

Some would call it abuse! Too bad Bellamy never coached David Fa'alogo. Ask Jason Taylor how that worked out.

I couldn't work for someone like that. There is being held to account and there is this sort of over the top screaming.

Just look at Hoffman and the other trainer caught in Bellyache's cross hairs. Heads down, grim faced, the quintessential look of submission and supplication. They look like they are about to wet themselves and expect to be hit on the nose with a rolled up newspaper at any second. Not a very professional environment to work in I would imagine. Especially if you are prone to hypertension.

Yeah, but it's great TV! It's like watching Basil Fawlty going off at Manuel in "Fawlty Towers"!

He would be a real C to work for. The politically correct term for him is a "Bully".

He comes across as a tw*t. And he probably is.

It’s a bit pathetic There’s a “miscommunication” so he goes off his trolley yelling and spitting and swearing. Clearly it’s everyone else’s fault, not his. Wonder if he goes off like this when they get his sandwich order wrong at the cafe?

This is the man. I don't believe his actions are to amuse anyone - simply an outward sign of passion/frustration. If TV directors didn't seek out his reaction every time an on field issue occurs, probably, we wouldn't be aware of this as an issue. It's plain to see that he is not comfortable in an interview, so, I seriously doubt that he wants to be on camera at these times either.

I'm seriously over Bellybabies histrionics. It's neither amusing nor impressive. He comes across as a self-important git on the verge of going postal. He reminds me of Dfens from the movie Falling Down, only without the irony or humour.
