Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart wanted his players to be able to fly in to Queensland earlier in the day for their preliminary final against the Storm but instead they’ll have to hop off the plane and head straight to the ground.

That Annastacia Palaszczuk won’t be three for long just like that Andrews in Victoria, its pathetic logic as these politicians have absolutely gone crazy! Its a bit hard for a team to step off the plane and get straight into it, the Raiders will win anyway.
Think this is all a ploy to get the "us against everyone" mentality going for tonight's game but thought it was pretty poor form to say no side has had the challenges they have had this season. I think every player and staff member of the Warriors and Storm would of loved to be able to sleep in their own bed every night this season.
Unfortunately 'safety' become a political tool many weeks ago. These boys are not tourists, they come from a bubble in a city that hasn't recorded a case in months. With this she gets to show the press/public she will say no. Largely because there is little economic benefit to Qld but it's a good PR move.
The NRL had 3 weejs to prepare contingency plans for all scenarios which included the Raiders playing in QLD.
All teams should be treated equally. If the Rorters were forced to fly up to Brissie and play within a few hours they'd have been livid too.
So for all this BS the players didn't have to stay in the bubble for QLD.
QLD govt couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

Hi joe, it seems a few coaches love pushing that sort of thing, ‘they are all against us!’. I guess that a psychological thing to build with you and your team. Him, Bennett, des does, Bellamy a bit. Maybe the coach’s of struggling teams got to give this a try
Qld Govt. Anna's world , land of double standards, depends on which side of the bed one gets out from, not to mention these power hungry Health officials
Aahhh So it has been known for 3 weeks that the Raiders would be playing in a Prelim Final in QLD.
Well that explains the lack of sin bin’s for trips, tackles in mid air and high tackles by Riaders players all done to stop tries being scored over the last 2 weeks.

Stuart knew the protocols that Interstate Teams that travelled to Qld during the season had to follow?? Nothing different for the Finals. Those protocols allowed Qld to successfully run & house 6 AFL Victorian teams plus 2 Qld teams. The Netball National competition and the Womens Cricket International 20/20 & 1 day competition & housed the Storm & their Families safely. Stuart has sucked the Media (Sydney Centric of course) & they have run with the story.
Ricky is great at doing the everything's against us to get his team riled up. This was exactly what happened when they first met the Roosters this year...written off, things going against them and they pulled off the win. Storm have to be up for this game because the Raiders will be.
Ricky should be careful, everyone who's been having a crack at our premier has come unstuck recently - gladbags got busted getting her muffin stuffed, scomo's plane broke down, deb got dobbed in by her own party
Anyways ricky should be used to getting the rough end of the pineapple from qld
