Any head man who aspires to success, be he a trucking magnate or a magistrate, is in the same boat. Barrett could have answered the media commencing with "Section 15 covers it ..." and spoken for about ten seconds - see Paul's post below. If a Roar contributor can parrot the Laws of the Game then Barrett ought to be able to, without doubt.

You'd want to be careful - if the rules don't apply during half time then then was it assault as it wasn't part of the match? Has Barret and Bennett notified the integrity unit of the melee?

Section 16 allows the ref to bin players, send them off, etc and in that Section, there's no mention at all about time, so this allows refs to do what Cummins did to Lewis, even though the whistle had blown for half time.
Lewis and Walker won't off the field the 1/2 time siren just blew and they were still on the field, if it would have been in the tunnel then I don't know? What is the rule? But and seeing that it was right in front of the cameras and in front of the ref it was a really dumb thing to do by Lewis as Cummins did the right thing!
