Ouch but sadly true. We need to get these guys more games played like their NH counterparts or a domestic season like Currie & NPC. We’re too idle compared to the rest.

Yes the same can be said about all those other players. It why we are around 9th in the world.

U could argue a chip kick at 22-14 with 2.5 minutes to half time in your 22m is not Rugby IQ. If it doesnt come off, potentially you are going to half time at 22-21.

I’m not promoting Wright to the Wallabies Skippy. But in the dictionary example of poor rugby IQ, Tom Wright, in this game, does not appear. https://www.theroar.com.au/rugby-union/video/tom-wright-sets-first-half-alight-starting-and-finishing-dazzling-95-metre-brumbies-try-1339758/ Comments, extreme in the negative, about professional rugby players, are unhelpful, (and a bit unrealistic). Wright is erratic, has driven me to distraction at times when wearing gold, but remains a talent – with an IQ – in my view.

Bobby I think Tom proved his worth at 15 all last season being top of a number of attacking stats for SRP in his first full-time run at FB- 1,421 run meters, 46 defenders beaten, 7 try assists. This year his tackling is way up at 83% completion (the other four FBs are only at 60-70% tackling which is surprising). Tom and Kellaway statistically are leading the way followed by Jock, Burey & Jorgo at this stage.

Steady on Skippy. In that case then the same can be said about Petaia, Suli, Wilson Fez, Hunter, Jock in regards to being “on” but not vs top sides. In particular Petaia hasn’t been able to kick on despite many chances with WB, lots of brain fades and poor decision making in both attack & defence from him (see RWC). The Reds form over the last few weeks, or just one game vs a top team at home, doesn’t mean they are “on” or certain lock-ins for test level. Both Tom and Jordie have about the same number of games at WB level over the last 2-3 seasons and are similar type players.

Okay then Dean, the remaining season gives them a chance to earn an invite into WB camp. I view SRP as only an audition into WB trials and certainly not a determining factor to starting WB positions. Neither Wright or Wilson can match BVs athleticism and physicality at the contact zone, nor his versatility between 6 and 8 at test level. WB camp puts all these skill sets under the microscope where it is head to head against each other day in day out. Wright and Wilson have improved over the last few weeks but BV is still first picked in any WB team and one of only a couple of world class players we have.

I wrote it previously, I think Toole is great for Wright. Wright doesn't need to push the boundaries as much now as he has another real talent in the back 3. They really compliment each others game and Toole isn't just fast. After he collected the Wright chip he drew the last player lovely and put Wright away to score. Wright didn't try and do it all himself and they both made each other look good.

On form so far in Super, Yes. He is definitely in the 23 though and I rate him highly. Just because I’ve mentioned a backrow without him doesn’t mean I’m right or wrong, just offering a change. RV is a cracking player.

We have hadn’t any real success with little 7’s ( I too am a huge of Fraser). Time to try a PSDT Type at 7.

Could be right, but he brings a lot of personality, along with Rhys.. Pollard's the class and toe

Ben Mowen has a week to solve the defensive pattern or the Brums will be eaten alive.

That was a smart coaching effort tonight.

Wright has no rugby iq. He is chip Kick happy. You think Because he does a few good things against the worst side in the comp (aside from Force)… he has iq all Of a sudden.
Bobby
Roar Rookie
Not so much, Schuuupie. Strong scrummage but has zero athleticism.

Was injured last year, but before that was destined for good things I believe.

“ No rugby IQ”? Has that comment aged well, Skippy?
