Great win – beating NZ team at home is always worth celebrating no matter their current form. Also worth noting crusaders have been doing better in recent weeks. Good for OZ rugby

the real problem is 38% of the reds are actually brumbies players

clearly this loss is the brumbies fault. time to drop them out of the comp because- well just because its always the brums fault

boring and repetitive

Brumbies make it 12 straight against Tahs as Bell hobbles off in worrying sign for Wallabies

Christy, how many times did you mention Bell? i counted 5. Why did you bother with comments from jake gordon who was ineffectual? How about focusing on the actual game and the players that made a difference- beyond the obvious who scored tries did you notice Tua? What about the fact that the brums were missing 5 starters (AAA, both lonergans, Ikitau, Muirhead). No talk about depth in real teams, lets focus on Bell instead. The “real worrying sign” is there are only 2-3 teams for the coach to choose from, and guess if i think the tahs are one of those 3?

what is shambolic is the tahs.

Agree with your assessment about Toole’s defense last night. He is figuring out how to use his speed as a defensive tool. Also agree Tom Wright is looking better this year. He is learning when to take the tackle and when to fling a risky pass.

More 'Scary Schmidt' than 'Sleepy Joe': Ireland tales that show the new Wallabies coach could be a polarising figure

1 win 4 losses for tahs, 4:1 for brums, 3 of those wereaway games; brums have beaten more NZ opposition than tahs in recent years, and ranked higher in most seasons across decades and please note each season includes home and AWAY.

More 'Scary Schmidt' than 'Sleepy Joe': Ireland tales that show the new Wallabies coach could be a polarising figure

A lot of negative comments about a game where an Oz team won in NZ at a venue where the brumbies won for their first time in Dunedin for 11 years.
Yes the the game was far from perfect, the first 20 minutes the Brums looked way off the game. But, you have to acknowledge there were some great sustained defensive efforts in their own 22. Especially, the mid second half where they held our the highlanders for ages and escaped to the other end with a couple of smart pilfers.
Yes, they lost some line outs. But, also won some against the throw.
Yes, their attack is far from perfect. But, in each game this year they have score some brilliant tries from across the park.
Yes, they are giving up some possession, and not all attacking options work. But, some of those passes and little kicks almost came off and they have to keep trying them. If they are going to be genuine contenders they do need to push the envelope in attack, which will mean mistakes mixed with success.
So, here’s to a great victory and being 3 and 1 with a lot of room for improvement is a good position to be in as the season progresses.

Toole stunner sees Brumbies snap 10-year drought in Dunedin as flyer's Test stocks rise

just watched the try highlights- kellaway was out of position or missed a tackle or went after the wrong player in 3 of them and popped up the ball after he was tackled that led to another brumbies try. Not what you want out of a 15.

'Own worst enemy': Rebels' month from hell continues as Brumbies smash Aussie rivals, Lolesio's timely reminder

Whereas QLD, ACT and WA count for nothing? The state that produces the most players, the territory with the most success and now bring on juniors and the best expansion state count for nothing. But NSW does count for something if not everything? And you wonder why rugby has a problem?

States not RA the issue Australian rugby is facing as Wallabies great calls on reform measures to be backed

RA provided a 1 page document “detailing the takeover”. When more information was asked by the brumbies no reply except as external audit of their finances by RA aka bullying and no guarantee that the brumbies would be maintained in canberra. So based on the 1 page the states are meant to give up their entire operations and license to an organisation that has lost money coaches, respect and recruits a winger for a record price who hasn’t even played for his state let alone his country. Yet, it’s the states that are the problem? Yeah right.

the majority were locals to the ACT catchment. The rest were not cherry picked but NSW discards. So why are the so called home of rugby (nsw) discarding them and doesn’t it say the brums know what they are doing and are investing in training and coaching the next generation across Oz?

Read it and weep: Eddie made Wallabies fans 'eat s--t' for 10 months - here's every bit of BS he uttered

“ by allowing the Brumbies to suggest that Rugby Australia is undertaking a corporate hostile”. Not sure what you mean by “allowing”. RA asked for full control of all of the super teams finances, licenses, marketing and property based on a 1 page document. They gave no answers to requests for details, no security re longevity and no response to different models of centralisation. All RA did in response to the brumbies requests was to request an audit of their finances, like a bully might or someone who planning a hostile takeover. I was a fan of centralisation but now think I it would lead to a pile of NRL wingers all playing for an underperforming Waratahs. FYI brums passed the audit and won the U19 undefeated. Wouldn’t you back the most successful team who is building its juniors and seek to emulate it rather than threaten it?

Rugby Australia can't waste this crisis - and easy options won't work

…..and now for Hamish and the rest of the board. We need an Australian Rugby boad not a mypic Sydney centric view of Rugby.

Further evidence of Hamish’s lack of management skills is a 1 page document sent to Brumbies “detailing” the centralisation. Brumbies request for more details…crickets, brumbies send a more detailed model to RA…crickets. Only correspondence is RA calling for an audit of their finances, sounds like bullying without smarts. Who would trusts this lot to run Oz Rugby…..meanwhile Brumbies U19 are undefeated in national league. so let’s threaten the most successfully team who are also training a new generation.

Yep, I cannot believe this lemon of an idea of moving or culling the most successful club keeps coming up.

Eddie Jones says he needs to 'give myself an uppercut' but '100 percent' committed to coaching Wallabies

which words – responsibility lies with him or no regrets for leaving out senior players?

Eddie Jones says he needs to 'give myself an uppercut' but '100 percent' committed to coaching Wallabies

So he says responsibility lies with him and he should give himself an uppercut AND he says no regrets for leaving out senior players. This is disingenuous and lies at the heart of the problem with Eddie – his words do not match his actions. The second statement means he doesn’t know what he did wrong or is in denial or still not levelling with the public, none of which are acceptable.
