Unfortunately not with foster as the coach, senior players have to take control of the team and own it …

Small Update: Tyrell Lomax looks to have suffered a knee injury. Concerns reinforcements might be getting drafted in from NZ, with Fletcher Newell also going down. https://www.theroar.com.au/rugby-union/video/all-blacks-prop-suffers-major-injury-concern-heading-into-world-cup-finals-1310380/

You're right. Its common knowledge that lean muscle has more density than fat and assists in burning calories therefore making it an efficient way to stay lean. Also means there's more left in the tank when it's needed on the last 10mins.

Don’t lecture me on science if you can’t comprehend the correlation between energy & mass… And how all the other countries maximise it to dominate in this collision sport.

Thankfully, STAN dropped the NZ commentary team at half time and we got the erudite Joel Stransky and Co for the second half. Much more enjoyable than the drivel and arrogance that Wilson, Nisbett and Muliaina were vomiting out.

It’s pretty basic science. Our lack of would class front rowers doesn’t have anything to do with body fat percentage. Don’t be silly

And yet none of our lean front-rowers would make a world XV in today’s game. By all means, go back and look at Taukei’aho from 2020-2021. Turn up your nose at his ‘excess fat’ all you want - but he was far more effective in his role, compared to now.

Definitely not confident. Worried about Ireland big time. Tight head prop and our attacking and defensive rucks worry me the most. If Lomax and Newell are both out then we have to rely on a combination of Laulala and Ofa against Ireland. So in essence hopeful rather than confident.

URU really took it to our breakdown, very competitive. You can see the potential of their team, really had a crack. AB tight 5 looks pretty solid. Will be interesting to see what our backrow looks like for the quarter final. We are missing not having a truely world-class 7, though to be fair we've been very spoilt in that position over the years. Ireland or SA will like their chances at the breakdown.

Mix and matching AB selections maybe eroding team cohesion. They started going off the boil with the team they picked for the Dunedin test. Maybe just pick your best team throughout the tournament. Too late now I guess.

Even less confident than I was before this game. The usual inconsistencies that have plagued Foster's tenure all on display here. The physicality at the contact area and the inaccuracies belied all the positive talk during the week about building on the Italy game. Throw in fitness issues regard our two tightheads and it is looking quite bleak.

FULL TIME: NEW ZEALAND 73-0 URUGUAY – ahh well, similar story, the All Blacks kick on. Very clinical in the second half and easy winners, they'll finish with a guaranteed quarter final placing, and they'll come up against either Ireland, South Africa or Scotland, pending the upcoming match today between Ireland and Scotland. Shame for Uruguay to go out the way they did, but how much fun have they been this tournament! Beating Namibia, leading Italy at halftime, pushing France all the way. Los Teros, you've been a joy to watch this Rugby World Cup. As this match wraps up and the teams go form interviews, our coverage ends here. Thanks so much for joining me today here on The Roar from wherever you are in the world. Haere rā to everyone in beautiful New Zealand and buenas noches to everyone in Uruguay. Have a wonderful day guys!

DMAC MOTM Gee Barret overcooked that kick.. all he had to do was grubber it over to DMAC but overcooked it to himself. I'd be starting DMAC at 15 over BB but I'm sure Foster will start BB.
