Erasmus is playing it up that's for sure.

Tough one to break into with that much depth. Good on him, he’s certainly thriving in Irish rugby.

He wasn't embedded long enough. No commitment

Geez paulo, I know you’re probably correct.. But I’m hoping your wrong too. This two week break isn’t helping the ABs. But I’m running with the facts, it’s very unusual that the favourite wins this thing. Only in 2011-2015 that actually happened. The majority of the time the title holder wasn’t expected to win.. just a theory.
scrum

I can understand your thinking but I looked at the incident several times. I saw no infringement worthy of sanction and the Law is very specific, the ball must be available immediately upon collapse, those in the maul are under no obligation to release the ball.

I thought that was the best reffing I’ve seen so far in the RWC. The other refs seem to go out of their way to make spectacles of themselves. Ben O'Keeffe isn’t perfect but he’s developing into a great ref.. better get use to him, after the RWC I’ll expect him to be promoted to higher honours and more important games.

Probably right.. But maybe beating the stuffing out of each other has taken a slight toll on both these teams  wishful thinking. But the ABs better have analysed this entire match, every minute of it! A lot to be learned here, both in how the Irish & the Boks operate. Particularly the forwards, the skill level of the Irish is exemplary. The cleaners are a masterclass in getting efficient ball to function with.. If only the ABs forwards could learn that lesson. But there is holes to exploit, just takes creativity to use the Irish & the Boks organisation against them, that stubborn discipline could be their undoing if the ABs are smart enough
WEST

Maybe.. That was once in a hundred year win. The Boks don’t seem to carry any scares losing 57-0 at Albany or losing at Durban 57-15. Only few seasons later they win the RWC. Are you meaning the All Blacks? Or the Boks? I’d like to think the ABs could muster up a decent response if we did meet the Boks in a QF.. likewise the Irish after a series loss in NZ.

They also won the penalty count convincingly

Irish milked the scrum penalty that put them in front and then the scrum free kick on their own line when under enormous pressure. The penalty was after the Irish prop fell flat on his face, the free was a classic walk back to make it look like an early push. BI’K no idea.

I just clicked, all this time and we didn’t realise it, they were a Pacific Ireland all along :silly:

You're not wrong! Am with friends after a rough Sydney week. Rugby, coffee, sunshine, laughter. There are always good days to be had. Thanks for the livescoring!

If Dwebe - who was selected for the Boks and played last year - is not a better Hooker than a Non-Specialist - all I can say is something is going wrong in Bok rugby. Hooker is such a specialist position and Boks just rolled the dice by picking Fourie and no surprise - at the crunch and facing World Class lineout in Ireland he did not get it right. But that's not on Fourie - it's on Erasmus. Erasmus is a gambler - 7-1 bench for example - rolling the dice on backline injuries etc but this time the gamble did not go his way when rolling the dice on Fourie.
