Adelaide welcome back star Izak Rankine with their season on the line against the in-form Sydney in what might be their most important match since the 2017 grand final. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:40pm (AEST).

With an excellent percentage and a final-round clash with the lowly West Coast, the Crows would almost certainly be September bound with a victory over the Swans here, and Rankine’s return from a hamstring injury gives them a huge boost.

However, with five consecutive wins, the Swans are in excellent form, and sitting seventh on the ladder, they also know a win here would just about lock up a finals berth to complete their remarkable season turnaround, regardless of a tough last-round date with Melbourne.

Yep George, yep you’re right, no offence but so what. It was a goal :boxing: Crowes should of been in front with bugger all to go. So many teams are affected by this umpire who admitted to two mistake’s, it’s a travesty and the ramifications will ring for a very long time.

The Crows blew their last quarter by stuffing around!

Wasn't the umpire wearing glasses? They must have been foggy - it was a wet night.

I think you'll find the comments will continue so it's not "end of story", only end of game. The story continues.

Booing a poor (or at very best, a contentious and pivotal) umpiring decision is pretty normal in my experience.

Incorrect tonight - and probably incorrect last week

Even if it wasn't a goal, a review would have allowed the Crows players to reset in defence. Instead Sydney ran the ball out while half a dozen Crow's players were celebrating. Either way it effected the game.

Channel 7 claiming inconclusive but unless it somehow clipped the back of the padding it looked pretty conclusive to me

Daylight between ball and post. That's a shocking non review. You could accept it if there was no review process or even possibly if the said umpires call but geeeeeeeeez there's going to be some ramifications after this.

Never suggested the Crows would’ve won - there was a minute left and Sydney may have kicked another goal - but it’s unacceptable that wasn’t reviewed.

goal umpire called hit the post end of story my team was beaten by a goal umpires call last week. both correct

They did. They were unfairly denied one.

I thought the call against us last week was bad. This one is infinitely worse. Replays, even on grainy cameras, make it clear it didn’t touch the post. It needed to be reviewed. That’s a disaster and has cost Adelaide its season.

I can't work out what crow supporters were booing about at end of game was a great finish. kick goals you win in the end simple

Incredibly keen to see how the AFL excuses that one because that’s absolutely ridiculous. Inexcusable to not review it, and despite the fact Sydney were the better team much of the night, the Crows should rightly feel annoyed by being denied that very clear goal.

It definitely didn't graze the padding. Passed the post above it. It would have had to have hit the post itself

A definite goal, that was a howler and cost the Crows. Last year the review did the Tigs, this year the non review did the Crows!
