An interesting match awaits as the GWS Giants and the Hawthorn Hawks look to get into a rhythm at Giants Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 6:10pm (AEST).
After two straight losses since the season resumed, the Giants finally got themselves four points with a gritty two-point win over Collingwood at home. It was a welcome return to form, but GWS need to get into a more consistent rhythm if they want to cement their status as contenders.
The Hawks, on the other hand, have quietly gone about their business this season and have three wins to their name. They knocked off the Lions in Round 1 and have enjoyed strong performances against Richmond and North Melbourne since.
Hawthorn took care of GWS in both of last year’s meetings – a 33-point triumph at the MCG and a 56-point win in snowy conditions in Canberra. However, they’ve never won at Giants Stadium, losing all three visits by 11, 75 and ten points.

Said it in public though, and by your argument look what it got his team. There are quieter channels for that sort of thing. Not sure more free kicks would have helped your mob much tonight though they were lucky the margin wasn't larger.

Mitchell probably the biggest one here. A Brownlow medallist just 5 games ago... but doesn't have the same ability to win the ball and drive the Hawthorn midfield.

Karma at its best. No talent and a whinging coach. They only win when the green rub is in there favour

Poor form and questions on players Puopolo Burgoyne Frawley Mitchell Wingard Scully O'Meara and 3 injuries didn't help.

Great to see hawthorn getting treated like every other football club and not getting there gross charity of frees they usually get. Very well umpired. Too bad too sad clarko

Haha, the North tip was a bit silly :silly: I can't begrudge you too much for picking Carlton tho, that was looking like it could've legimtiately gone either way (before the Saints dominated that clash)

They’re making up for last week’s atrocity.

North Melb and Carlton cost me. Not sure what I was thinking going for North. Maybe because they looked dangerous against Hawks last week, and would have won in normal time. Thought they’d make up for it this week. But based on the result, embarrassed I picked them.
