Australia and Pakistan resume their battle on Day 4 at the SCG in what is likely to be the final day of the 2023/24 Benaud-Qadir Trophy. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 10am (AEST).

Australia started day three well before a late collapse saw Pakistan take a first innings lead.

However, the tourists have struggled to take advantage of the lead and are in deep trouble at 7/68 with a lead of 82.

Pakistan will want their lower order to rally and get the lead to over 150, while Australia will look to bowl them out as early as possible.

Well they dropped four catches in Perth, incl Warner early in the first innings, then in Melbourne Warner & Marsh, and then Warner, Marsh & Labuschagne in Sydney. It wasnt just the number of catches, but the timing of the catches.

Some of the people constantly complaining here should take that on board. Aussies seem to enjoy eating their own though.

A great win by Australia over a feisty opposition in an entertaining game. Gotta love Test cricket when 300 is a good score! #teamdavey

Whatever it was, still good enough to be man of the match. And could have been player of the series too.

Well done Pat Cummins. Best bowling performance in a while Aamer Jamal would also have been a worthy winner.

If they’d taken their catches they would’ve won the series, maybe 3-0.

Player of the series? None other than Australian skipper Patrick Cummins! Hard to not give it to him with 19 wickets at an average of 12 odd alongside three consecutive five wicket hauls.

Not break down crying, appeal for a timed out and generally cheating. He did it!
