Yep, from memory he was a half second late, and when you get that long to review, you get no benefit of the doubt, you have to be clearly inside the time limit.
Labu talked him into it. Clearly Warner was reluctant (which is why it was made too late). Fair to review if your batting partner reckons it’s a chance.
Disagree, if the review is conducted as requested, late or not, then it is used.
If the review was successful and later found to have been unlawful, would Warner’s extra runs be deducted?
We use the term "legend" far to easily these days. He's is/was an above average test batsman and a below average bloke. Let's move on to the next generation and let Warner player his much coveted T20 malarkey.
Yeah, come to think of it I can't remember too many successful ones ... and yet, he's flown under the radar in this regard compared with Shane Watson. Maybe he has had a minority of successful ones here and there.
Yet another horrendous DRS review by Warner. Everytime he's given LBW he reviews. I reckon he's wrong 99% of the time and badly wrong 90% of the time. Paine and Langer should ban him from reviewing LBWs.
It was a dumb review by Warner. He knew he was out but instead decided to waste one early on in the innings.
Fortunately for officials the decision was upheld. I looked very much like the signal came after the time was up.

Yes, they did. Not to worry, he wasted a sitter anyway...

Yes. Otherwise, what's the point of the timer. Surely the third umpire can work this simple stuff out?

Paine is also a knee jerk reviewer.

Technically, if it could later be proved that he hadn't made the time limit, Australia should have retained the review.

Hey, David Warner is a bonafide Aussie legend.....there's no way they were ever leaving him out even if he was only 70% fit.

No dumber than the selectors decision allowing him to play!
