Round 11 of NRL action concludes with the Manly Sea Eagles hosting the Cronulla Sharks. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 4.05pm AEST.
Manly continue to struggle after a bright start to 2023. They have had no answers in attack or defence recently as off-field scuffles make headlines. Tom Trbojevic continues to be named at fullback, as Anthony Seibold names the same squad that lost heavily during Magic Round last week.
The Sharks are coming off a battering against the Dolphins in the sea animal derby. The visitors will be desperate to conjure up a victory in the battle of the beaches as Craig Fitzgibbon will be focusing hard on defence during training. Dale Finucane is named to start at lock, while Cameron McInnes is set to come off the bench.
The Sea Eagles are having a bit of an identity crisis at the moment. After a brilliant performance against the Storm a few weeks ago, they have not matched that intensity at all. Add in the fact that the Sharks broke their Brookvale hoodoo last year, and we’re looking at a Sharks victory.
However, rain is set to fall upon Sydney on Sunday and Daly Cherry-Evans is arguably the best halfback when it comes to playing in wet weather footy. If it rains, Sea Eagles win in a thriller. If it is a dry track, Sharks will steamroll the Sea Eagles. Sharks by 14

I can’t agree - the bloke literally allowed a guy that essentially knocked on to come back start the play again …. Unheard of

Bloody Manly. Parker should get 18 months for impersonating a footballer.

Seibold clearly not the right fit. Four insipid performances in a row. Just cut your losses now rather than let him destroy the club long term.

Thanks for your time and the call Arnab, very entertaining.

And he was better positioned than a bloke looking at it on TV in Redfern

Only consolation today is that they actually put in in the second half and Tom, whilst still definitely way short of his best actually looked more involved and creative today. Parker needs to be replaced by Ben Trbojevic permanently, Schuster’s return will help and Jake will make a big difference.

There was the chance. Don't know why Saab was out on the wing when you are putting up a bomb. Congrats Renegade, Farkurnel and all the other sharkies. Unlucky Tom, HY, 40/20 EJ and the Manly mob. Some tight games ahead.

Thank you all for joining both games today. That concludes the action for NRL round 11. I'm off to a mother's day dinner and then finish the night with some EPL action. I will be back on Friday for Dragons v Roosters. Till then, take care and goodnight

Just dunno about this Sharkies team. Brilliant and flawed in roughly equal measure. Thanks Arnab, evening all.

A game of two halves - neither team brilliant. Good call, Arnab, thankyou.

That could have been much worse... Well played Sharkies.

FULL TIME MAN 14 CRO 20 That was a game of two halves. Sharks were outstanding in the first half before they went into their shell as the Sea Eagles gave it their all, especially in the final 20. But it's the Sharks who win the battle of the beaches

Stupid play !

Annoying, Sharks player offside at the kick but earlier Manly player OK.
