The NRL action continues tonight with the match between the Manly Sea Eagles and Parramatta Eels, coming to you from Lottoland. Join The Roar for live scores and a blog of the match, starting from 7:35pm (AEST).

Six weeks ago, these two teams met at Bankwest Stadium on a Saturday night. A great game of football followed, with the Sea Eagles arguably robbed by a poor forward pass call. Both teams were destined for high places on the ladder this season, or so we thought.

While the Eels have continued to hover at the top of the table, the Sea Eagles are hanging on by a thread, with long-term injuries to Tom Trbojevic and Dylan Walker, and three losses in a row. Another loss this week and Manly will start to lose touch with the eight.

After a gritty battle against the Knights the week before, the Sea Eagles were flat against the Dragons. Daly Cherry-Evans played one of his worst games in years and will be keen to hit back this week.

Morgan Boyle is out with injury with Taniela Paseka starting and Corey Waddell on the bench. Addin Fonua-Blake remains suspended.

The Eels were below their best last weekend but they did what good teams do. They found a way to win.

The loss of Mitchell Moses has been handled seamlessly by the Eels, with Dylan Brown taking a leading role and Clint Gutherson heavily involved. Reed Mahoney continues to grow in stature and is one of the premier hookers in the game right now.

Junior Paulo has been named despite having back spasms last weekend. Rookie Stefano Utoikamanu has been named despite a slight biosecurity breach.

Prediction
You can never write off the Sea Eagles at Lottoland but they are again without some quality players this weekend.

The Eels are a confident unit at the moment and look like going a long way this season.

I expect them to be too good for the Sea Eagles.

Parramatta Eels by ten.

Blame Ashley Klein and his bunker buddy.

Seriously Manly, all I asked was for you to beat the Eels by a measly 6 points so the Storm could be top of the table for a few hours and you only can manage to beat them by 4!! :crying:

The clock was rejigged with 17 secs to go after Sivo injury back to 34 secs on resumption. Anyone else pick this up Lets not talk about the 6 Parra reset starts and Parra penalties in second half

What decision in the Manly game was caused by not having the extra official on the field ? They’re just downright bad calls, in the main, by the bunker. The push in the back last week...the ‘loss while offloading’..incomprehensible interpretations.

When you go from 2 referees to 1 and speed up the game of course you get more bad decisions. I'm surprised anyone is surprised. Though given how some people asked for this I'd blame a vocal minority of fans

Jagged a win might be a little harsh as the score was very flattering to their opponents... without dodgy calls Manly would’ve easily finished 20+ up

But don’t worry... the NRL will come out tomorrow and say they made a mistake...Annersley will say it , yet again... that’ll fix it

It's beyond a joke now. Most games every week.

Apart from the non-player interference, this wasn't a bad game of footy. Of course I'm glad that Manly jagged a win after recent weeks, but I have the feeling that Parra left a bit of mongrel in the sheds this evening . With respect, I think the scoreboard wasn't indicative of the rhythm of the game.A bit of an off night for Parra, and I think they'll turn up hungry next week.

Some of those decisions tonight were worthy of a Vegas judge. The Blake thing was an outrage

Well done to manly, you guys absolutely earned that win. Very disappointed with parras performance tonight, I thought we lacked intensity, and Moses absence was more glaring than ever. The refereeing tonight was appalling, other sports like soccer would never allow this standard of officiating. Hopefully parra can bounce back, worrying signs though.

Happy with the points. But all the fans should in unison demand professional, fair officiating. It's getting as bad as the boxing.

I would say Parra have been reading to much internet stories. One headline was Parra tackling their way to a premiership. If they cant beat a depleted Manly I would suggest it is still only a tree horse race. Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.

Great win. Less said about the pathetic officiating the better. When you have zero accountability, you’ll never improve. The NRL has serious problems with the peasants that they employ.

Great Manly effort .. they really redeemed themselves from the crap they’ve dished up recently in a contest that had a score that massively flattered their opponents. That Blake try was a complete joke
